July 4th is only a few days away, so some helpful reminders to help make sure you have a happy holiday.
The Fourth of July Is Only Two Weeks Away!
Did you know that more pets go missing on the Fourth of July than any other day of the year?
While fireworks, cookouts, and celebrations are fun for people, they can be stressful and potentially dangerous for our furry friends. Loud noises, hot weather, and tempting foods can increase the risk of pets becoming frightened, overheating, or ingesting something harmful.
Here are a few ways to keep your pets safe this holiday:
🐾 Make sure your pet's ID tags and microchip information are up to date
🏠 Keep pets indoors during fireworks displays
🌭 Keep human foods and decorations out of reach
💧 Provide plenty of fresh water and a cool place to rest
💊 If your pet may need anxiety medication, contact your veterinarian now before the holiday rush
