Some shots from a couple of recent Fetch a Friend trips with Thunder and Baxter 🦮💕

Here’s what Thunder’s friends at to say about their adventure, “We went to Willamette Park and Natural Area! We took Thunder for a stroll around the leashed area and played with him. He loved picking up sticks and getting lots of pets! He is very sweet and wonderful!” Thunder is about 7 months old and is currently in foster care. Here’s what Baxter’s friends had to say about him, “Baxter was a blast! He had so much fun! He is super curious and adventurous, and loves looking out the car window. He is a great trail walker, good at checking back in with his walker. He will turn around and sit in front of you if you stop, such a good boy! He’s going to be a great family dog!” In Baxter’s previous home, he was noted to have separation anxiety and is looking for someone willing to work with him. You won’t regret giving this guy a chance. He has the most amazing personality! 🖤 Come meet him if you’re interested in getting to know this amazing guy!

We recently received an update about Viktoria, now Sylvie 🥹🖤

“Here’s Sylvie resting by the new fireplace. Shouldn’t every dog have one? She’s doing well and now weighs a svelte 117.8lbs. She seems to get sweeter and sweeter and oh so gentler everyday 😊”

Thank you to everyone who was a part of this story! Sylvie wouldn’t have gotten her Happy Tail without her fosters, our amazing staff, our community, and donors 🫶

Happy Foster Friday from Sweet Potato Pie! 🥧💕

This girl has hardly gotten any interest and we can’t understand why! She integrated into her foster home with grace and ease. She had to start exploring the minute she got there, saying no to the slow introduction we always counsel on 🤣

Sweet Potato Pie loves to play with toys and LOVES being pet. She would rather keep all four paws on the floor though. So best to let her jump on your lap when sitting down. 🪑

She would like to be the queen of the castle so a home with no other pets is her perfect fit. But with all the love she has to give, you won’t be wanting for another 🥰

Meet two pups looking to start their next chapters! 💖💙

💖 Madonna - for those that have been following us you’ve seen her before. For those who have maybe just found us, meet Madonna. This 1yr old girl has spent most of her life in the shelter environment. She was found as a stray in Maui and was being cared for by Maui Humane Society. In April of this year she made the long journey to Heartland for more chances of adoption. She’s still looking and we’re determined to help her find it!

Throughout her stay with us our staff have really gotten to know this lovely girl. She has a lot of energy and loves to stay active, making her a great addition to an outgoing adopter. In her various foster homes she has done well with dog-savvy older children and other high energy dogs. If you’re looking for a loving, playful dog that is ready to become your best friend ask about her today!!

💙 Coos is about 3 and a 1/2 yrs old and came to Heartland as a stray so not much is known about his past. But, in the time he’s been with us we’ve come to know him as a sweetheart with a love for snacks!

He’s been great walking on leash and is always down for an adventure! He’s met both medium-sized and small dogs and has done great with both! He’s also done well with children, loving to jump around with them in the grass 😆 Come meet him today if he sounds like the pup for you!
