We’re sharing this post on behalf of a friend who is looking for the right home for a very special girl named Ila.❤️ Ila is a generally healthy, indoor only cat who is looking for someone willing to give her the patience, understanding, and peaceful environment she needs to truly thrive. Ila does struggle with anxiety, and she has also had ongoing issues with defecating outside of the litter box. Her current situation has unfortunately required her to spend a significant amount of time confined to a dog crate, and she frequently cries. Her family has tried numerous resources to help her, including anxiety medication, but she has not tolerated liquid medication well it causes vomiting and foaming. Because of this, her family has made the incredibly difficult decision to look for a new home where Ila may have a better quality of life. But please don’t let her challenges make you overlook her. Ila is not being given up because she isn’t loved. Quite the opposite, her family loves her enough to recognize that the current situation isn’t fair to her and that she may need a different environment to flourish.

We believe Ila may do best in a quiet, calm home with another friendly cat or a small group of cats. She needs someone who understands that she may take time to decompress and who is willing to work with her rather than expect perfection immediately.

Her current owner is also committed to covering the cost of any medication she may need for the rest of her life. And if the placement ultimately isn’t the right fit for Ila, she will always have the option to come back home.

This girl deserves the opportunity to find the environment where she can finally feel safe, comfortable, and content. Her family will be very selective about her placement. This is not a first-come, first-served situation, and the goal is not simply to find Ila a home, it is to find the right home for Ila.

🚨 FOSTER HOMES NEEDED
CORTLAND, OH 🚨

We have a group of kittens in Cortland who urgently need foster homes secured so we can safely trap them and get them into care. These kittens are approximately 8 weeks old and will need a little time to decompress, adjust to an indoor environment, and become comfortable with people.

We have many, many cats waiting to be trapped, but we can only continue this work when we have foster homes available. If you have a spare room, bathroom, or other safe space and are able to open your home to a kitten (or two!), we would truly appreciate your help. ❤️

We also have several mama cats who desperately need to be trapped and spayed before they have another litter. Most of these moms are feral and do not need to be socialized. They simply need a safe, secure space to recover for a few days after surgery before being returned to their outdoor homes.

If you’re able to foster, provide a short-term recovery space, or otherwise help with this effort, please reach out to us! Every foster space means another cat or kitten we can save from continuing the cycle of unwanted litters.

We can’t do this without our community, and even a few days of space can make a huge difference. 🐾❤️

Home Secured🩷

These two beautiful 2-year-old Great Danes were given up by their owner and are now looking for a loving foster home or, ideally, their forever families. ❤️ They both deserve someone who is willing to give them the proper veterinary care, patience, love, and commitment they need.

Willow is a 2-year-old harlequin female who is an absolute sweetheart. She loves giving kisses, cuddling, snuggling, and being with her people. She’s an overall wonderful girl and has such a loving personality. Willow is leash trained and does well with other dogs, although she can play a little rough, so she would do best with larger dogs who can handle her play style. She would need a home without cats.

The other handsome boy is a 2-year-old merle male named Malachi who is also very sweet and loves being around his people. He is leash trained and does well with other animals, but he does have a high prey drive when it comes to cats, so a cat-free home would be the best fit for him as well.

Unfortunately, they aren’t doing well in the home they are currently in because of the cats, so we’re really hoping to find the right placement for them as soon as possible. Although preferable, they do not necessarily need to be adopted together, we just want to see each of them end up somewhere safe, loved, and cared for the way they deserve. These are two sweet dogs who need a fresh start and someone willing to give them the second chance they deserve. 🐾❤️ If you’re able to foster or adopt either of these gentle giants, please reach out!

Tank is a handsome, affectionate 2-year-old boy looking for a new forever home. His family loves him very much, but as their family is about to grow, they’ve made the difficult decision that Tank is no longer the best fit for their home. Tank loves nothing more than curling up with his person for cuddles and companionship. He’s a sweet cat who enjoys relaxing by your side and being part of the family. She loves to snuggle up for naps and is often found curled up looking as cute as can be.
