💔 A HEARTFELT MESSAGE TO OUR H-1B BROTHERS AND SISTERS — YOU ARE NOT ALONE 🇺🇸❤️🏡
Imagine spending years building a life in America. Working day and night, paying taxes, raising children, buying a home, financing a car, and slowly turning a foreign country into a place you proudly call HOME.
And then, suddenly, uncertainty knocks on your door.
You may have to pack your bags in a hurry, leave behind your house, your car, your furniture, your children's schools, your friendships, and everything you worked so hard to build.
A house can be sold. A car can be replaced. But how do you pack years of memories into two suitcases? 💔
To every H-1B visa holder facing this painful uncertainty, please remember:
You are not a failure. You are not a burden. You are not less deserving of dignity because your immigration status has become uncertain.
You are an engineer, a doctor, a scientist, a teacher, a professional, a mother, a father, a son, or a daughter. You gave your talent, your youth, your energy, and some of the most precious years of your life to building a better future.
And no immigration document can ever erase your hard work, your education, your character, or your worth.
TO OUR FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES BACK HOME:
If one of our brothers or sisters returns from America unexpectedly, please welcome them with open arms, not uncomfortable questions.
Don't ask, "Why did you come back?"
Don't ask, "What happened to your American dream?"
Don't ask, "Did you lose everything?"
Instead, say:
"Welcome home. We missed you. You are safe here. Whatever happened, we will face tomorrow together." ❤️
Please don't measure their success by the car they drove, the house they owned, or the dollars they earned.
Sometimes, the strongest person in the room is the one who has lost everything familiar but still finds the courage to begin again.
🇺🇸 AND TO THOSE WHO REMAIN IN AMERICA:
If your friend, colleague, or neighbor is struggling with visa uncertainty, don't turn away.
Offer a meal. Help them understand their options. Connect them with a qualified immigration attorney. Help them manage urgent arrangements. Check on their family. Sometimes, even a simple phone call can give someone the strength to face another difficult day.
And if they return to America one day, welcome them back with the same love and respect.
Immigration status can change. Circumstances can change. But humanity should never change.
To every family living through this uncertainty: your children may not understand why their lives are changing so suddenly. Your spouse may be hiding tears to keep the family strong. And you may be smiling in front of everyone while silently wondering what tomorrow will bring.
Please know that your story is not over. Your dreams are not dead. Your journey is not defined by a visa.
Before making irreversible decisions, seek reliable legal advice about your immigration options and deadlines. You may have more choices than you realize.
And above all, remember:
You may have to leave a country, but you do not have to leave behind your dignity, your courage, or your hope.
To those returning home: our doors should be open.
To those trying to stay: our hands should be extended.
To those hoping to return someday: may your path open again.
May Allah ease every family's hardship, protect every child from unnecessary suffering, replace fear with peace, and open doors where all hope seems lost. Ameen. 🤲
Because at the end of the day, borders may divide countries, but compassion should always unite people. ❤️
