🐾❤️ Happy 5th Gotcha Day to my sweet Pizza! ❤️🐾
Five years ago today, this little girl showed up on my doorstep, not knowing just how much she was about to change my life. ❤️
I was going through one of the hardest times after losing my sweet boy Dude. My heart was broken, and I was struggling more than I think anyone really knew. Then, out of nowhere, there she was. 🥹
To this day, I truly believe Dude had a little something to do with sending her my way. Like he knew I needed someone to love, someone to make me smile again, and someone to help put the broken pieces of my heart back together. ❤️🩹
Pizza didn’t just find a home that day… she found her person, and I found a reason to smile again.
For the past five years, she’s been my best friend, my little shadow, my constant companion, and my biggest source of unconditional love. She’s been by my side through the good days, the bad days, and everything in between.
People always talk about rescuing animals, but sometimes I think they’re the ones who rescue us. And I know without a doubt that Pizza rescued me. ❤️
I don’t know what I did to deserve this little soul showing up on my doorstep, but I will forever be grateful that she did.
Thank you, Dude, for what I believe was one last beautiful gift. And thank you, Pizza, for showing up when I needed you most and filling my life with so much love. 🐾🌈
