Handsome Ash is 1-year-old sweetheart who was originally trapped during a TNR effort, but it quickly became obvious that this boy was never meant to live outside. He is incredibly affectionate, playful, social, and absolutely loves people. Ash is the kind of cat who wants to be involved in everything you do — whether that’s snuggling on the couch, chasing toys, or just following you around the house being adorable. Ash is healthy, active, and full of life.
Ash is FeLV positive, a disease which can spread to other cats through close contact. Because of this, Ash needs either:
• a home where he can be the only cat,
• a home with other FeLV-positive cats, or
• a committed medical foster willing to give him a safe space and lots of love.
The good news: FeLV is NOT contagious to people, dogs, or other non-feline pets. Cats with FeLV can still live happy, loving lives, especially when kept indoors and provided with regular veterinary care. Many FeLV-positive cats remain healthy for years.
