Am getting a new Nosework partner in a couple weeks! There's a lot to learn before we start sport training, but be prepared for lots of puppy videos! First job: effective socialization so she can handle whatever environments we will be searching in!

Cindy does Nosework with her Cane Corso, Celeste! Wishing her the best of luck (and much, much fun) with Tabasco at Westminster!

We (me, Tazer, Jester & the 2 cats) are safely in AZ and will be looking to form classes sometime in October, probably. We'll be in the Cottonwood/Sedona area. News will be posted here first!

Well, we have news. As of June 1, we are moving to northern Arizona. We will miss our Nosework/Scent work friends in Oregon, and especially, our students who are, mostly, just beginning their trial experiences. Classes are being taken over by friend and CNWI Tabitha Perry and we'll post her contact info when it's available.

I am hoping to begin classes in Arizona sometime this fall. (It will take me that long to unpack!) I look forward to meeting a new bunch of Nosework enthusiasts soon.

Congratulations to my students, humans & dogs, who braved their first ORTs this weekend! Whether you passed one odor or all 3, you did good! Am proud of you all and excited for your intro to Nosework trialing!

Tazer (& I) got his Nosework Elite Champion title today! It was a great trial site - Wings & Waves water park in McMinnville, OR. We started off with a fantastic vehicle search and ended with another fantastic search under the water slides. In between, we had a good search & a not-so-good search, but overall it was quite a fun day and both Tazer & I had a great time. Very proud of my boy! He's a great partner.

Thank you so much to Jonae Waldroop, Tabitha Perry, Nancy Lee Westrell, and everyone who pitched in & volunteered yesterday at our first Fun Match! Special thanks to Jonae who arranged for the terrific location; we were able to have all 4 elements to search!

Thanks also to everyone who came out with their lovely dogs to have some fun & try their skills in a new environment. I hope you had got some helpful feedback from Nancy & Tabitha and are feeling more confident and ready for your ORTs/NW1 trials!

The weather was mostly good (much better than the 4" of snow we have today at my house!) though the gusty winds made the vehicles & exterior searches a bit more challenging. But I watched 14 teams in the morning handling that swirly stuff just fantastically!

Hope all the competitors have had a chance to watch your videos!
