Future, my best friend's boxer and an honorary member of our pack, was laid to rest this Saturday. It is suspected he had the same terrible disease (hermangiosarcoma) that we lost Kaeto and Rylee to. Future taught Howard how to box and in turn they taught him how to howl in a pack. He loved finding the teeniest, tiniest slice of couch or bed to wiggle himself in to. He was a professional napper and never met a snack he didn't like. He will be very missed.
Thank you to Tanasbourne Veterinary Emergency for treating us with kindness and compassion while we said good bye. Each staff member was incredibly caring and it meant very much to my friend and I both.

🙏 In loving memory of all those that were lost 25 years ago today. May the world know peace one day. 🙏

Hi Everyone! I am giving advanced notice to all my clients that this Autumn is going to be very busy for me. I will be away from home for several weeks. Please schedule your grooms early so we can make sure those pups are still getting what they need.

Keno's vet appointment turned out as well as we could hope for! The otoscope didn't turn up anything remarkable, so no magical "cure" for his vestibular episodes. The ultrasound found a cyst on one of his kidneys. The vet wasn't concerned about it since his blood work came back pristine but definitely something to keep an eye on.

The evening after his appointment he had a bit of a rough time... the anesthesia seemed to affect him more than before he was diagnosed with IVS and he had a fairly long vestibular episode (video here). He also was really bothered by the area they shaved on his tummy for the ultrasound. Since we were away from home I had to improvise a cover for him with one of my tank tops 😂 (photo in comments). He wasn't thrilled with that either... Life was tough for a Bean Dog that day!
