Good morning!
So sorry it’s been a bit since I’ve posted. My dad unfortunately passed away so life has been difficult at best lately. I really want to express my gratitude to all of you who reached out, checked in and sent well wishes and prayers to him-and to us. ❤️
Anyhow, moving on- we are trying to nail down our upcoming breeding schedules. We anticipate breeding a mini litter, a shmedium litter and are trying to figure out a medium litter breeding as well. We’ve had several requests for medium Whoodle puppies, but due to the sheer number of folks that backed out from our last waiting list for mediums (which resulted in pups not being placed until they were much older), we are pondering changing the way we handle our waiting lists. As always, we appreciate and encourage your feedback as your opinions matter to us! We always require a nonrefundable holding deposit of $500 whenever securing a puppy (or $300 for Siberian kittens). As the economy is changing, hold overs aren’t not only unfair to our puppies, but also cost us a significant amount of money to keep, and then ultimately adopt out at a severe loss. As many of you understand, this business model isn’t feasible for long term sustainability. In order to keep our program afloat, we must at least break even. Having said that, ensuring that folks who ask to be on the waiting list follow through rather than opt to not wait and find something else that’s available sooner, we are thinking about asking for a nonrefundable deposit of $200 to be placed on our waiting list. That ideally would eliminate those that aren’t fully committed to our program. All deposits of course DO come off the total price of your baby, so it wouldn’t be lost funds. Doing this would affect how selection happens as well- all litters would be selected in order that a deposit was placed. IE., 1st deposit, 1st pick- 2nd deposit, second pick and so on.
What are your thoughts on this?
