When a group is so well balanced they ebb and flow together like a well oiled machine it makes our jobs a piece of cake. From 6 months to senior in this group, all sizes, breeds, and new and old friends. This is the perfect balance of neutrality. You’d never know this isn’t a group of daycare friends that see each other every day.
Scout (aussie) is the perfect example of a friend who can leave for weeks, then bounce right back in like he never left. Ella (GSP) shines the last several weeks. She went from being so nervous her very first short vacation, to jumping in with 4 paws every morning. Max and Charlie (doodles) are prime examples of why we incorporate daycare and boarding. They’re here for a vacation and know they already have a crew. It’s a normal day for them. Alvin (blonde little) was a recently adopted rescue with some quirks on his intake form (a nervous nellie with some anxiety), but he has been the perfect fit. Elvis our beagle bff is one of our long term friends. Despite everyone knowing Elvis is at the party because he tells you all the things-loudly 🤣-he has the freedom to safely interact or explore. Georgie (golden). Oh Georgie, Georgie. She gives Amelia a run for her money on fastest to the water. Georgie moved away for awhile and this is her first time back in a long while. Can you even tell?? Tanana(black itty bitty husky mix puppy- she’s available through Saint’s Legacy Balto’s Mission!), our youngest, is a sweet little rescue boarding with us while she learns how to be a puppy outside of the shelter. She had never even been outside a month ago when she got to us. And the list goes on like this.
Proper socialization makes any experience possible. We promise they miss you and want to come home, but they are just as happy to come back, and that is worth its weight in gold.
