You know what we miss when your dogs go home?

The barking at absolutely nothing.
The dramatic sighs.
The zoomies.
The toys mysteriously appearing where they definitely shouldn’t be.
The “WHO DID THIS?!” moments.
And, apparently, the occasional need to completely redecorate the couch with every single pillow. 😂

Sure, the Ranch is a little quieter when they leave…

…but we miss the chaos, too. ❤️

Your dogs may come to us as guests, but after spending time at Heinzig Ranch, they become part of our crew.

And yes, we’re already looking forward to seeing our little troublemakers again. 🐾

Finally… a little relief from the summer scorcher! ☀️➡️🍂

We woke up to cooler temperatures this morning, and let me tell you—we are ALL enjoying it! The dogs are loving the chance to spend more time outside without battling the heat, and we’re soaking up every bit of this little break. 🐾❤️

We also want to take a moment to say thank you to all of our amazing clients. We are incredibly grateful that you trust us with your dogs, especially the ones who need a little extra understanding, patience, and care. ❤️

This weekend’s crew is keeping us busy, but we’re having so much fun watching everyone settle in, play, explore, relax, and just be themselves.

After months of ridiculously hot weather, this cooler morning feels like a gift. 🥰

🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day from Heinzig Ranch! 🐾

We’re celebrating Labor Day the best way we know how—with a little gratitude, a lot of dogs, and a well-earned moment to breathe. ❤️

And honestly…we’re also celebrating the fact that WE SURVIVED THIS SUMMER. 🥵☀️

These Texas temperatures have been no joke! While the dogs have been enjoying plenty of air-conditioned lounging, pool time, shady spots, and enrichment to keep their brains busy, we’ve been doing our best to keep everyone cool, comfortable, and happy.

Because summer at Heinzig Ranch means the work doesn’t stop. It just gets a whole lot sweatier. 😂

But looking through these photos, it’s pretty easy to remember why we do it.

Every nervous dog who finally relaxes.
Every goofy face.
Every new friendship.
Every dog who gets to spend their vacation feeling safe and understood.

That makes the long, hot days worth it. 🐶❤️

So today, we’re taking a moment to appreciate hard work, the people who make it happen, and all of the amazing dogs who make our days better.

Happy Labor Day from our pack to yours! 🇺🇸🐾

🍂 Fall is coming, and your dog deserves a stress-free holiday season, too. 🐾

A little reminder for our Heinzig Ranch family:

📅 **October & November bookings are open!**
🦃 We currently have **2 spaces left for Thanksgiving.**
Now is a great time to get those dates on the calendar.

If you have a dog who struggles with new people, busy environments, or traditional boarding, you already know that planning ahead makes a BIG difference.

One of the best things you can do for your dog is avoid making their boarding stay a last-minute decision. Giving yourself time to plan means we can make sure their stay is set up around their needs — not just whatever space happens to be available.

And if your dog has stayed with us before, remember: you don't have to wait until something goes wrong to reach out. Questions about boarding, behavior, enrichment, or how to make your next stay easier? Send us a message. We're happy to help.

We love getting to know your dogs — quirks, worries, goofy habits and all. ❤️

Pit bulls are so dangerous… dangerously lovable. ❤️🐾

Dangerously wiggly.
Dangerously happy.
Dangerously goofy.
Dangerously fast zoomies.
Dangerously floppy ears. 😂

But seriously—this is why I want people to learn to look at the dog in front of them, rather than making assumptions based solely on breed.

Happy tails, loose bodies, play bows, relaxed faces and goofy zoomies are all ways dogs communicate that they’re feeling good.

Pit bull behavior is dog behavior.

Learn the body language. Learn the individual. And maybe don’t underestimate the power of a floppy ear. 😂

August has been so HOT, we are just trying not to melt over here. 🥵☀️ While we’re doing our best to stay cool around here, we’re already looking ahead to a very busy fall!

September is shaping up to be a very busy month, and we’re so excited to welcome back so many familiar faces. ❤️ All of our September bookings are returning guests, and we truly love getting to see these dogs again and again!

We still have some availability after September 23rd, and we’re currently booking for October and November.

🍂 Thanksgiving: Just 2 spaces left!
🎄 Christmas & New Year’s: FULLY BOOKED. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to accept any new requests for those dates.

As we head toward the end of the year, we’d also LOVE to meet some new friends! If you know a pet parent who has a dog struggling with fear, anxiety, reactivity, aggression, or other behavior challenges, send them our way. 🐾 We’d love to help!

We can’t wait to see all of our returning guests—and hopefully meet a few new ones along the way! ❤️
