🐾BIG NEWS-WE'RE WALKING TOGETHER! 🐾
One Leash Two Lives; Recovery Walks and Animal Humane Society are proud to announce the launch of Recovery Walks — a new program that brings together people in recovery with dogs in AHS’s shelters.
Recovery Walks will provide people in recovery with the opportunity to help socialize dogs at the shelter through outdoor time, enrichment and leash skills, and guided reflection — creating purpose, responsibility, and connection for the participants while providing meaningful attention and enrichment for dogs awaiting their new beginning.
One Leash. Two Lives. is an animal-assisted recovery initiative built around exercise, enrichment, positive socialization, and reflection to create meaningful connections for people in recovery.
Animal Humane Society's mission is to engage the hearts, hands, and minds of the community to help animals. Its work extends far beyond animal adoption and includes low-cost public veterinary care, resources to keep pets with their families, protecting animals from abuse and neglect, education programs for people of all ages, and more.
With a shared commitment to serve animals and the people who love them, One Leash. Two Lives. and Animal Humane Society are coming together to facilitate healing on both ends of the leash.
