It's been a busy couple days and I feel like we accomplished a good amount of stuff!
We cleaned out the whole fenced in garden area, stuff was still growing but we were done π
. Picked all the carrots, bean plants, broccoli, cauliflower, onions, and some tomatoes.
Picked all the poison plants out and moved the wethers into the garden to clean up the tall grass and finish them out in there. The ram got moved back into his pen and left one ewe in with him that still hasn't come back into heat this fall. Lucy, the yard cow, got moved into the sheep pen as they are more her style; so no more free ranging animals for the rest of the year.
I haven't had the urge to can still so we put about 120 cups of carrots into the freezer. Onions are set out to dry. Beans were all collected and can't wait to enjoy some chili this winter with them.
The only thing I didn't get checked off the list was harvesting the potatoes, they are still in the ground π«£
