The times we had at the Newton County Saddle Club and H.J. Fox horse shows wont soon be forgotten! We brought large groups to each, every horse and rider pair tasked with improving from the last show, after working hard over the past 6 weeks on their flat work, their presence in the show pen, their finesse, their ability to step into the ring and think every step of their ride. Most of the Pine Lane Farm horses come from backgrounds that don't include horse showing or jumping whether they be OTTBS, backyard ornaments, diamonds in the rough, ornery ponies, or often a quick decision on my part! The ribbons these past weekends were hard earned and well deserved, but its the memories made that will last forever and I hope be some of the best of their young life. Driving up and seeing my kids lunging the horses that needed it before the sun came up, showing horses that have never been shown before and succeeding, cheering their friends on, standing by my side as I coach others to learn more. Learning the ins and outs of horse showing outside of the riding part when I task you with things to help me. Loading and unloading the horses. The 5 am wake ups that dont matter because of the exciting day ahead. Watching my bigs that were once Littles help coach the newest batch of the Littles coming thru. Sitting on a horse that you love and showing them and succeeding in any capacity, regardless of what it looks like to others, knowing it was a win for you both as a team. These past 2 weekends haven't been long and exhausting because of the incredible kiddos, parents, and horses that have made it the fun and fulfilling. Seeing all the smiles on their faces as they trot past. The pride on their parents faces watching their kids in their element enjoying every second. Yes, there were hiccups, but we have a barn family that helps, cheers, and supports even when things aren't perfect. We laugh, we joke, we have the best time and my kids showed off this incredible group of horses to the best of their abilities. We may end the day Telusional(tired and delusional), but ill never forget these times spent coaching my kids while they make me proud. Thank you to all of my kids that helped take care of the barn and came out to help me run the show and help get the horses back and forth. Showing or not showing, having my kiddos helping at the barn or helping me with the kiddos showing is the only way we can show in such a fun capacity! Can't wait to see what the rest of the season brings, so far its been a wonderful year! Maybe next time ill wear matching shoes or maybe its good luck! I know im missing a ton of my kiddos in these pictures, but you all did wonderful!
