Thank you to one of our 911 Communication Operators, Dari Lomax, for her initiative and creativity in putting together a Towel & Blanket Drive for our Animal Services Division!!

This initiative will directly support the daily operations of Rockdale County Animal Services by keeping the shelter animals clean, warm, and comfortable.

We may serve in different divisions but we are one department willing to assist where and when we can!! #911

So, we go out of our way to try to help people, but some people cannot be helped.
I am only posting about this because this person has already gone on Yelp and said ugly things they are likely doing so here as well.
This person's puppy has a SEVERE hookworm infestation....enough to be life threatening. We were also dealing with multiple complicated cases....most of which HAD appointments.
This person came in WITHOUT an appointment and we saw them anyway. We had to rule out parvo, because it's a puppy.
When we recommended treatment because the puppy was markedly anemic, and likely to worsen, the person just said they wanted to leave. Said they had no more money. We offered to do things at a very reduced cost, nope, they just wanted to leave immediately. They acted all nice and syrupy while here.....then pretty much immediately went online to trash us and say it was 'the worst experience of their life.' Really? That's your worst experience? Well then, honey, you have had a pretty easy life.

At Budget Vet, we go out of our way to help everyone. But I will shed no tears for you if you go online and try to infer we did something wrong. If you don't want us to treat the puppy, fine. Just take care of the poor thing. Hookworms are life threatening to puppies. We did not force you to come here, but we welcomed you anyway.

You just can't make some people happy. You say you will never be back......well damn skippy you won't because you are not welcome here.

I fully suspect your next trick will be a chargeback... You will lose that.

People like this makes us appreciate our good clients all the more.

🐾🐾Our office will be closed Friday July 3rd - July 6th in observance of Independence day. Normal business hours will resume, July 7th.
If your pet experiences any emergencies during our closure, please contact/visit your nearest veterinary/emergency clinic. 🐾🐾

It's Heartworm Awareness Month so we want you to be *aware* of Enemy #1 - the mosquito!

Heartworm larvae spread through mosquito bites so they are more than just an itchy nuisance, they're a danger for animals that aren't kept up-to-date on prevention. Mark your calendars and keep your precious pets protected, prevention is much easier on their health and your wallet than heartworm infection treatment ❤️
