Support Animal Welfare in Arkansas!

As you may know, animal safety and welfare in Arkansas is virtually non-existent, especially in rural areas of the state. Most of the state has no spay/neuter laws, no leash laws, and needs more education about the importance of vaccines and preventative care. Programs are available across the state to help with some of these issues, but not everyone can afford those programs or they may not have transportation... and frankly, many just don't care.

Wobbles & Stomps is a 501(c)(3) Special Needs Animal Sanctuary that plays a crucial role in our community by providing a safe haven for companion animals with lifelong disabilities and short-term medical needs. Our sanctuary not only offers a place for these vulnerable animals to thrive, but also delivers essential medical care and fostering services, including specialized training for hard-to-adopt dogs.

The impact of our work extends far beyond individual animals; it resonates throughout society. By rehabilitating, rehoming, and sometimes adopting out those who face tragic fates, we cultivate a culture of compassion and responsibility towards all living beings. Your support is vital! Sometimes running a boarding business means enrichment, playtime, cuddles, cleaning, feeding… and sometimes it means blowing leaves into piles so you can stop playing Find the Poo. 🤣💩

Of course, the second I get the leaves nice and organized, everybody decides those piles are now officially part of the playground.

I have some incredible news to share. 💜🐾

I have officially been requested to travel to Washington in 2027 to dog and house sit and this one means more to me than I can really put into words!

I worked for her for two years, and during that time she took me under her wing, taught me different training styles, helped expand the way I work with dogs, and played a huge role in the path that eventually led me to becoming a CGC Evaluator.

I also absolutely love her dogs. I know them, I know their personalities, I know what working dogs are like, and I know the responsibility that comes with handling a crew like theirs. Melts my heart😁

They are also a piece of the reason Bark at the Moon grew the way it did. Their trust, support, and word of mouth helped bring many of my clients through the door.

So to be told that I am the only person they trust to handle their dogs and their home is an incredible honor.

This is one of those moments that feels completely full circle.

They helped me grow.
They trusted me.
They supported me.
And now, years later, they are still trusting me with what matters most to them. I can't wait to love the crew and I miss me some U*i for sure.

I am beyond grateful for the people who helped shape me into the trainer and business owner I am today.

Why do I keep dog training affordable? 🐾

I genuinely believe good dog training should be accessible and shouldn’t have to break the bank.

Affordable does not mean less effort, less education, or less support.

My training is primarily based around positive reinforcement, building engagement, communication, confidence, and helping owners understand why their dog is doing what they’re doing—not just trying to force a behavior into submission.

I also tend to go a little above and beyond. 😆

Depending on what we’re working on, clients may receive homework sheets, written exercises, training tips, step-by-step instructions, or things to practice between sessions. I want you to leave knowing what to work on instead of going home thinking, “Okay... now what were we supposed to do again?”

But there is another side to that.

I can teach you. I can teach your dog. I cannot do the work at home for you.

Dog training is a partnership between the trainer, the owner, and the dog.

The 30 minutes we spend together will never outweigh what happens during the other hours and days of the week. Consistency at home is where behaviors become habits and where the real progress happens.

That means homework matters.
Practice matters.
Consistency matters.
Following through matters.

And if something isn't working, I want to know so we can adjust it—not simply abandon the entire process.

This is also why I will soon be implementing a training agreement for clients. It isn't about making training complicated or covering everyone in paperwork. It is about making sure expectations are clear from the beginning—mine and yours.

I will continue doing my part: providing instruction, support, resources, individualized guidance, and affordable training.

In return, I expect owners to do their part by practicing, being consistent, communicating with me, and putting in the work between sessions.

I don't believe someone should have to spend thousands of dollars just to learn how to communicate better with their dog.

But I also don't believe it is fair to the owner, the dog, or me to continue taking someone's money when the training isn't being practiced outside our sessions.

I care far more about seeing you and your dog succeed than I do about keeping you on an endless training schedule.

Affordable training. Realistic expectations. Owner involvement. And a whole lot of treats. 😂🐾

Because my goal isn't to make you dependent on your trainer. My goal is to help you become confident enough that eventually, you don't need me.
