IN SEARCH OF INSTACART DELIVERY PERSON WHO RESCUES CATS🐱 💖
Hello all 😊
It has been almost 3 years since we moved to beautiful Conway SC and every day we are grateful for this wonderful, caring community.
This gorgeous kitty is one of our neighborhood strays. We started calling her "Larry" before she became comfortable with us being close enough to discover that she was female!
Our neighbor across the street calls her "Bob", and our neighbor to the right calls her "Tort".
No matter the name, we all love this girl!
I learned that "Larry-Bob-Tort" was left behind over six years ago when her family moved away.
Our sweet community came together to keep a watchful eye on her, providing food, water and shelter.
I have become particularly attached to her and have been feeding her and caring for her as best I can.
Every morning at 7:00am she is outside my window ready for breakfast. Every evening she greets us as we return from work, running up the driveway and meowing.
When we take our dog, Lucy, for a walk she joins us! Lucy and Larry absolutely love each other!
Due our rental lease requirements we are unable to allow her inside our home, but we have always had plans to take her with us when the day came to move to a house of our own.
We have not seen Larry in nearly two weeks.
I can't sleep. My heart breaks every morning as I look out the window while making my coffee, and each time we head out to walk our dog.
Just before she went missing I was sitting with her while she ate, protecting her from the other strays who tend to bully her and take her food.
I was gently petting her when, for the first time ever, at least in my experience, Larry began to purr!! I was so elated and deeply moved by this show of affection and couldn't wait to tell everyone about it!
It is, of course, possible that something terrible has happened to her and I just can't stop worrying.
However, there is a chance that she is safe and happy somewhere with a well-meaning person who has been spotted, more than once, attempting to get Larry into her car.
I have discovered that this woman is an Instacart delivery person, and she told one of my neighbors that she runs a Cat rescue/Sanctuary somewhere nearby. She expressed concern to my neighbor about Larry's age and vulnerability to the elements.
This neighbor, as well as my husband, have reported seeing her attempting to "rescue" Larry, but Larry jumped out of her car each time.
I am thinking, HOPING, that this woman was finally successful and Larry is now living a life of luxury inside a loving home.
I miss her terribly. I just want to know that she is safe, loved and cared for.
