We are dedicated to the protection of the people and animals in the City of Conway. As advocates, we place pets through local adoptions as well as partnering with rescue programs all over the country.

🐾 DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN TAKE A SHELTER DOG ON A DOGGY DAY OUT? 🐶❤️

One of the best things you can do for a dog is simply give them a break from the shelter!

At Conway Animal Services, you don’t have to adopt to make a difference. You can stop by during regular shelter hours and take a dog out for a few hours, the entire day, the weekend, or even an extended outing! 🐕

So, what does a Doggy Day Out do for our dogs?

❤️ A break from the kennel. Shelter life can be stressful. Getting out gives dogs a chance to relax and just be dogs.

🐾 A chance to show their personality. You get to see who they are outside the shelter environment, and that helps us learn more about them!

🏡 More exposure to potential adopters. Take them for a walk, grab a pup cup, spend time outdoors, or share photos of your adventure. You never know who might fall in love with them!

🫶 Mental stimulation and socialization. New sights, smells, and experiences can do wonders for a dog’s well-being.

🐶 And the best part? NO COMMITMENT! You don’t have to foster or adopt. You’re simply giving a dog some much-needed time outside the shelter.

Imagine spending day after day in a kennel, waiting for someone to choose you. Now imagine someone taking you out for an adventure, giving you attention, and letting you feel what it’s like to be someone’s dog, even if just for a little while. ❤️

THAT is what Doggy Day Out is all about.

❤️🐾 A Legacy of Love That Will Live On… 🐾❤️

Some people leave footprints on our hearts that never fade. And sometimes, those footprints become paw prints that change lives forever.

Recently, an anonymous donor made an incredible $5,000 gift to Conway Animal Services in loving memory of Russell Dale Williams Jr., sponsoring the adoptions of 100 shelter pets in his honor.

Today, we want to share something truly special with you.

This video is filled with Gotcha Day moments from many of the animals whose journeys have been touched by this extraordinary act of kindness. But when we look at these pictures, we see so much more than happy animals and smiling faces.

We see second chances. We see families made whole. We see lives forever changed.

And behind every one of those smiles is a beautiful reminder of Russell and the legacy he leaves behind.

To the generous donor who made this possible, words cannot adequately express our gratitude. You have done something truly remarkable. You have taken the memory of someone special and turned it into happiness that will continue to grow in homes throughout our community.

To Russell's family and loved ones, we hope these pictures bring you comfort and remind you that his memory continues to make a difference.

And to every family who opened their hearts and homes to one of these precious animals, you have become part of Russell's story, too.

Years from now, these pets will still be bringing smiles, sharing cuddles, and filling homes with unconditional love. And although those families may never have had the opportunity to meet Russell, a little piece of his memory will live on in every one of those moments.

What a beautiful legacy to leave behind. ❤️

Our pups have their buckets ready, and they’re eagerly waiting for YOU to stop by and make their Halloween a little sweeter! 🐶🍬

🪣 Every dog has their very own trick-or-treat bucket just waiting to be filled with goodies! From tasty Yak chews and bully sticks to toys, collars, leashes, and SO MUCH MORE, there are plenty of ways to spoil our deserving shelter pups! 🦴🧸🎾

🐾 Meet Kolby! 💙

Kolby is a 9-month-old terrier mix who is basically one big puppy with a whole lot of love to give! 🐶

He’s super friendly, dog-friendly, and always ready to play. This sweet boy has been at the shelter for TWO MONTHS, and he’s more than ready to find a family of his own.

Kolby is still a puppy, so he’s got plenty of playful energy, love, and fun ahead of him. He just needs someone to give him a chance and show him what it means to have a home. ❤️

Two months is a long time for a puppy to wait. Let’s get Kolby out of the shelter and into a home where he can grow up surrounded by love!

We're wrapping up our November events by celebrating some of our FAVORITE people—OUR VOLUNTEERS! We can't wait to gather with our volunteer family, share some good food, and celebrate everything we've accomplished together!
