For the safety of our staff all employees have been sent home for the remainder of the day. You can take your pets to Angel Of Mercy Animal Critical Care or Animal Emergency Room both located in San Antonio or keep your baby chilled with dry ice until we can receive your baby on Monday when we reopen our doors. Everyone please stay safe and do not drive if you do not have to.

Due to the storm and flood risks bluebonnet will be closed the rest of the day. We are unsure for tomorrow so please call ahead before trying to come in to verify if we were able to open. Thank you, and please stay safe!

Bluebonnet Pet Crematory will be closed Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day. Labor Day is a federal holiday set aside to honor the American Worker's contributions to the building and achievements of this, the greatest country in the world, the United States. Please enjoy this holiday and be safe.

Bluebonnet pet Crematory will be closed Friday July 3rd to celebrate the 4th of July weekend. We will reopen again for business Monday, July 6th at 9:00. You can drop your pets off at Angel of Mercy Critical Care on Grissom Rd or Animal Emergency Room on Fredericksburg Rd. You might want to call them first. Thank all of you for your loyalty and your trust in us! We pray that all of you have a safe and enjoyable weekend and that your baby stay safe as well.❤️

Hello Bluebonnet Family! We are having some medical emergencies and are understaffed at this point in time. Our paw print technician has been out sick with pneumonia and I have been in the hospital 3 weeks with heart failure issues. We are very behind in doing paw prints; we were just starting to train a new person when Sissy took ill. We are at least three to four weeks behind and it's going to take us a while to catch up. We are out of space to hold animals in order to do those paw prints at a later date. A couple of things that can be done is you can do your own prints at home or if you have a deep freeze and your pet will fit in there and it doesn't freak you out to have them there, you can hold them until we are up and running again. If paw prints don't matter to you, then there's no problem, bring your pet in for a simple cremation. You can always call us to clarify matters and see where we stand, but we do appreciate your understanding in this matter and if you would prefer to take your pet to another of the facilities around town that can get your paw prints done now, that is also your prerogative. I'm not sure that we have ever been in this dire of straits before and we certainly appreciate your understanding and the love that we know we share. Goodness, peeps! They say April Showers brings May flowers and Mother Nature really seems to be taking the adage to heart. Most of our people can't get in today due to flooding areas. Please call us at 210-566-4501 before coming out. If we don't call you back, the office is probably closed. Give us about 10 or 15 minutes to call you back and if we don't, listen to our answering machine message to tell you what options you have for your pet. Please just stay safe in this weather, don't drive if you don't have to.

Really quick post here about the weather. It's supposed to be really bad this weekend, folks. And as the weather men say, remember the three P's: Pets, Plants and Pipes. We're concerned, of course, mainly with the pets. All Pets, even those that are used to staying outside, will need to be brought in. If you can't keep them in some part of a heated house, put them in a garage with space heaters placed where your pets can't do damage with them. If you have to keep them in the garage, make sure they have the space heaters, plus plenty of blankets for bedding, food and fresh water. Check on them several times a day to make sure they're doing all right. There is not one type of animal that would be able to survive sustained exposure to the types of temperatures that are expected this weekend. We honestly do not want to see you in our office because your babies aren't kept warm enough. Be careful with your birds, reptiles and other exotics, as they are extremely susceptible to altered temperatures. Either ask your vet or Google the correct ways to take care of your Exotics. We are covering every animal in our area and beyond with God's grace, but we need y'all to do your part. With prayers and Common Sense we can all get through this cold snap and keep our babies with us. Thank you!
