Having your dog not bolt out the door is a big win!

But it starts small!

A lot of people and even trainers teach the dog to sit before they open the door. But they never teach the dog what to do once the door is actually open.

Showing them what to do when it's open is the key!

Door ways/ Thresholds.

Your dog should respect the doorway no matter what is going on.

You pick the criteria they can sit, give eye contact, or just be chill before you release them.

You can teach this in less than weekend and without using food.

I didn’t expect you to go out like this. You were my little psycho. You taught me so much. You showed me that a little dog could pack a punch.

I got you on a whim almost 8 years ago. I needed a little dog breed that could keep up with a Malinois and a Collie/Aussie mix. You were what my pack was missing—a little dog that ran the show.

You and your brothers watched me become a husband and a father. You showed them all so much love and accepted your new role of just being a dog to a bunch of kids.

I love you, Cyo. I will miss you.

New segment! Training session with MayMay!

Student Honey is our training dog for this one today.

She’s Newfoundland puppy she will be a big girl and her owners have grandkids close to the age of Maymay today was really working on her not jumping and chasing Maymay.

Just being respectful and having impulse control around young kids is a big thing for all puppies and dogs to learn.
