Fall is here and with it come many dangers for out pets. I would like to list a few of the dangers to them over the next few weeks in hopes that it will help someone.
1. Antifreeze Poisoning- You may know a mechanic, have your car in the driveway repairing it or dispose of antifreeze improperly or maybe your neighbors don't. Antifreeze is toxic to dogs. 5 tablespoons can kill a medium size dog. It takes sweet to the dog or cat, therefore they don't mind eating it. Within hours it can affect your dog by making him/her look drunk, drink alot of water and urinate alot of water. By the time you see these symptoms, it may be too late. Please dispose of antifreeze properly and not in typical trash containers that dogs can retrieve.
