🐾 Happy National Dog Day! 🐾

Today we’re celebrating all the dogs who make life a little happier, a little messier, and a whole lot more fun. ❤️🐶

From the puppies just starting their adventures to the seniors who have been by our sides for years, we’re lucky to care for so many wonderful dogs every day.

📸 Help us celebrate! Drop a picture of your dog in the comments below! We’d love to see all those familiar faces (and meet some new ones)!

Happy National Dog Day from all of us at Connersville Veterinary Clinic! 🐾❤️

We are incredibly thankful to Hill’s Pet Nutrition for donating multiple pallets of pet food to help pets and families who have been displaced by the recent flooding in our community.

Donated pet food is currently available at:

🐾 Expo Hall
🐾 Cambridge City Christian Church

If you or someone you know has been affected by the flooding and needs food for their pets, please take advantage of these resources. We hope this can take one small worry off the shoulders of families dealing with so much right now.

A huge thank you to Hill’s for stepping up and supporting our community and its pets. ❤️🐾

Please share so we can get the word out to those who need it!

It's Fair Week!

From funnel cakes and carnival rides to livestock shows and tractor pulls, there's a lot to enjoy this week! We hope everyone has a safe and fun time at the fair.

A few reminders for pet owners while you're out enjoying the festivities:

🐾 Keep pets at home unless the event is pet-friendly.
🌡️ Make sure they have plenty of fresh water and a cool place to relax.
🚫 Keep fair food (especially corn cobs, barbecue leftovers, chocolate, onions, grapes, and xylitol-containing treats) out of reach.

Whether you're showing livestock, supporting 4-H, or just going for the elephant ear, we'd love to know...

🎠 What's your favorite part of Fair Week?

Tell us in the comments, and have a wonderful week from all of us at Connersville Veterinary Clinic! ❤️

This past Saturday, our team was proud to partner with the Carrie Can Project to help provide low-cost spay and neuter surgeries for our community.

Together, we were able to spay and neuter 13 dogs, helping reduce pet overpopulation and the number of unwanted litters in our county. Every surgery is one more step toward fewer homeless pets and a healthier future for the animals in our community.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make this day possible and to the pet owners who chose to be part of the solution. We love serving our community both inside and outside our clinic walls! ❤️🐶

When a pet comes in for itching, we don't just look at the scratching—we look for the reason behind it.

One of the first places we examine is the paws. They can tell us a lot about what's going on.

We're checking for:
• 🔴 Redness between the toes
• 🟤 Hair staining from excessive licking
• 🦠 Signs of infection or irritation

These small changes can provide important clues and help us determine the best treatment plan for your pet.

Every itchy pet is different, and finding the cause is the first step toward helping them feel better.

If your pet has been licking their paws more than usual or can't seem to stop scratching, give us a call. We'd be happy to help.

Summer allergies don't just make pets itchy—they can lead to ear infections, skin infections, and a lot of discomfort.

If you've noticed your pet scratching more than usual, chewing at their feet, or dealing with recurring ear problems, allergies may be the cause.

Our team can help identify what's going on and recommend a treatment plan to help keep your pet comfortable.

📞 Give us a call if you think your pet may be dealing with allergies.

☀️ Flea and tick season is here!
Many pet owners think they'll notice fleas or ticks right away - but unfortunately that's not always the case!
Fleas and ticks can:
✔ Cause itching and skin irritation
✔ Spread diseases
✔ Trigger allergic reactions
✔ Lead to infections
The best protection is prevention before your pet is exposed!
Not sure what prevention is best for your pet? Give us a call and we'd be happy to help!
