Watch as we demonstrate subcutaneous and intravenous injection techniques on Shylo. He is the absolute best boy! You will also see the incredible difference it makes when a dog is well trained for veterinary care. While some dogs might need physical restraints or medication to calm down enough for their shots, Shylo is completely relaxed, making the visit a breeze for everyone involved. 🐶

Ever wonder what I actually cook for my own pets at home? 🍲

As a holistic veterinarian, I believe fresh nutrition is a vital foundation for health. I recently whipped up a batch of fresh, whole food that feeds almost my entire family. And I mean everyone... the two-legged, four-legged, feathered, and finned members!

We enjoy it as a hearty soup, the dogs get it as a fresh kibble topper, the cats get a little mashed into their meals, the rooster gets a taste, and I even freeze pureed cubes for my koi.

Want to see exactly what goes into the pot and how I make it? I put the full recipe and process in my latest video!

If there is one wish we hear from every family that walks into our clinic with a senior pet, it is simply this: "I just want more time with them."

DrQ and the crew at Aspen Park Vet Hospital completely understand. Our animals give us so much unconditional love, and even a decade or two never feels like quite enough. That's why DrQ created the free Longevity Blueprint and Animal Life Skill Report Card.

This resource helps you evaluate your pet's daily routines to make an immediate, positive impact on their long-term well-being. The guide covers how to assess their nutrition, behavior, and cooperative care skills. It also reveals the four specific holistic supplements DrQ recommends for nearly every patient!

Whether your companion is a few months old or gracefully entering their senior years, it is never too late (or too early) to commit to a healthier life together. Click the link below to get your free copy! 🐾👇

Have you noticed your senior dog dragging their back toes or acting a little unsteady lately?

It could be Degenerative Myelopathy (DM). A lot of traditional advice will tell you there is nothing you can do, but at Aspen Park Vet Hospital, we completely disagree!

We use a holistic approach with therapies like veterinary acupuncture, cold laser, and custom nutrition to keep your best friend moving comfortably for as long as possible.

Bonus good news: thanks to responsible breeders using DNA testing, new DM cases are actually dropping nationwide!

If you are noticing mobility changes or need a second opinion on a DM diagnosis, reach out to us today. Let's get your pup evaluated and build a plan to keep them happy and active. 🐾

Saying goodbye is the heaviest price we pay for the privilege of loving our animals. 💔🐾

Over the past few weeks, our sanctuary said farewell to two beloved senior rescue horses, Dixie and Sugar. Shortly after, I faced the loss of my own dog, Wasabi.

Experiencing this much loss reminds us why proactive care in their golden years matters so much. True senior care goes beyond food and shelter: it is about mobility, natural pain relief, cooperative care, and giving them peace in their twilight chapter.

Here's how you can support your own pets and our sanctuary herd:

Honor Their Legacy: We opened a memorial campaign where 100% of donations directly support the surviving rescue herd at ResqRanch: https://www.coloradogives.org/story/82mb8g

Plan for Longevity: You don't have to wait for illness to prepare. Connect with our team at Aspen Park Vet Hospital to explore the Proactive Pet Parent's Longevity Blueprint and start mapping out a happier, healthier future for your companion. https://www.aspenparkvethospital.com/longevityblueprint
