🥇 Over the next week we will be congradualting our Cat Cafe Naming Contest Winners & Their Prizes 🏆

When we announced on May 11, 2026 that we needed to change our café's name, we knew it wasn't going to be an easy decision.

A name isn't just a logo or a sign on a building it's something that becomes part of a community. We wanted everyone to have a chance to be part of that journey.

So, we invited our community to help us choose.

Over the following weeks, we received dozens of incredible submissions, each with its own story, creativity, and personality. We read every single one, laughed at the clever puns, smiled at the cozy ideas, and were amazed by the thought that went into so many of them.

One thing that really surprised us was that many of our favorite submissions were already being used by cat cafés elsewhere in the country or were otherwise unavailable for us to use. That only showed us how creative everyone was many of you came up with names that other successful cat cafés had also thought were fantastic!

After narrowing the entries down, we asked YOU to help decide by voting for your favorites.

On June 8, 2026, we announced that Live Free & Purr Cat Café had received the most votes and would become our new name.

But we didn't stop there.

Even after making the announcement, we intentionally waited nearly two months before calling it our permanent name.

We wanted to live with it.
We wanted to hear what everyone thought.
We wanted to make sure it still felt like us.

Over those two months, we listened to your comments, read your messages, watched your reactions, and used that time to reflect. The more we heard from our community and the more we said the name ourselves the more it felt like home.

Today, we're excited to officially say...
