Today is National Make a Dog's Day, but adopting a dog isn't the only way to make their day!

Right now, Pope Memorial SPCA has some pretty incredible dogs waiting for their chance at a home. Some have been waiting longer than others, but every single one deserves a little extra love.

So, we're challenging our community to do ONE thing to make a dog's day today!

🐾 Share this post: You never know whose future best friend might be scrolling by.

🐾 Send a little love: Donate an item from our shelter wish list to make their stay a little more comfortable.

🐾 Consider fostering: Opening your home temporarily can make a world of difference.

🐾 Meet your new best friend: Maybe one of these faces is the one you've been waiting for!

One small act of kindness could change a dog's entire world.
Let's see how many tails we can get wagging this National Make a Dog's Day!

Dear Future Family (and everyone with a credit card),

Diesel here! I'm the outgoing one. I love making friends, meeting new people, and being the life of the party.

And I'm Boo! I prefer to take things a little slower, but once I know you're my friend, you'll have a hard time escaping my kisses!

We've been through a lot together, and while we're still waiting for our perfect match, we figured we'd put our time to good use and help our friends at Pope Memorial SPCA with a little shopping list.

Here's what the shelter currently needs: pmspca.org/wish-list

Not exactly the toys and treats we would've picked, but apparently the humans know what they're doing!

So, here's the deal. If you've got room in your heart and home for two lovable brothers, we'd love to meet you! We're hoping for a patient family where we can be the only pets and continue our journey together.

And if adopting isn't in the cards, you can still help us and all our shelter friends by sending a little something from our wish list.

Share our story, send a little love, and help us find our happily ever after.

Love,
Boo & Diesel 🐾

What could be better than curling up with a good book and a cat who’s happy to listen?

Our Paws to Read program invites children in grades 1–8 to read aloud to our shelter pets! It’s a fun way for kids to build reading skills and confidence while providing the animals valuable socialization.

Sessions take place every other Wednesday from 4–5:30 PM.

Upcoming sessions: October 21 and November 4.

BREAKING NEWS: Handsome Hound Seeks New Address

Bailey, 5, is reportedly looking for a change of scenery and someone willing to appreciate his many talents.

Sources close to Bailey describe him as handsome, intelligent, well-mannered, and occasionally ridiculous.

His qualifications include excellent walking skills, making friends, and bringing some serious personality to the table.

When asked what he's looking for in his next chapter, Bailey declined to comment. He's a hound. We suspect he was distracted by a smell.

There's a lot more to Bailey's story, and we think you'll want to hear it.

And please share! This fellow deserves some good publicity.
