As of now, power at the clinic appears to be fully restored! We are now expecting all services to be restored as of tomorrow morning and hope to be operating normally. Due to circumstances beyond our control (a tree down on the power lines on Iron Works Road, following this weekend's snow/ice storm), we are currently experiencing a power outage, and potentially interruptions to our ability to provide services on Monday. It is unclear when power will be restored, but if power at the clinic remains out on Monday, we will be unable to provide medical and grooming services as scheduled, and kennel services will be limited. We will post updates here and on our website as we are able, and we will reach out to affected clients once we have more information.

Please note that our phone system requires power and will thus be unavailable while power is out, and that our access to email will be very limited during this time.

We thank you for your patience and understanding while we navigate this difficult and unexpected circumstance.

Important notice for dog owners in the Concord area:

Hello friends,

We wanted to take a moment to inform our community that we have received reports of and have now seen numerous cases of a contagious upper respiratory illness that has been spreading among dogs in the Concord area. Symptoms reported include unusual coughing, gagging, wheezing, and fatigue. If you see any of these symptoms in your dog, please contact your veterinarian for evaluation.

We have sent samples off to the laboratory to try to identify the organism responsible, and have not yet received conclusive results. It is also worthy to note that of the dogs who have become ill, many are up-to-date on kennel cough and other vaccinations for common respiratory illnesses. With treatment, dogs have responded well within 24-48 hours. Please keep this in mind if you bring your dog to any dog parks, grooming, boarding, doggie daycare facilities, to see other dog friends, etc. we would recommend limiting your dog's exposure to others at this time.

As a result of this, we have elected to close our doggie daycare program for at least the next couple weeks while these existing cases resolve, as well as limiting our boarding availability to minimize potential exposure. Please do not hesitate to contact us (or your primary care veterinarian if not a client of our practice) if you have concerns regarding your pet’s health or the availability of our services at this time.
