🐾 When Should You Start Puppy Training? 🐾

The answer may be sooner than you think!

Following AVMA guidelines, puppies can safely begin training classes and socialization opportunities as long as they have received their first round of vaccinations at least one week before class starts. Most of our puppies begin training between 8–10 weeks of age.

Early socialization is one of the most important things you can do to help your puppy grow into a confident, well-adjusted adult dog.

We offer several options for puppies:

A little preparation goes a long way in keeping your pup safe and comfortable on the road!

✅ Secure your dog with a crash-tested harness or crate
✅ Pack essentials like water, bowls, leash, food, and medications
✅ Take potty and exercise breaks every 2–3 hours
✅ Keep the vehicle cool and well-ventilated

❌ Don't let your dog ride in the front seat
❌ Never leave your dog unattended in a vehicle
❌ Avoid letting your dog hang their head out the window

We have room in our Drop-In Reactive Rover class tomorrow (Sunday) at 1130am! We know it's hard to commit to a 5 week long class during the summer, so this is a single class drop in to work on your skills around other dogs.
