Silverstone is in need of some extra hands in the after-school hours starting September 1 from someone knowledgeable and hardworking.

This role includes (but is not limited to):

- Tacking up and caring for client horses before and after scheduled lessons

- Cleaning and organizing grain, tack, and laundry rooms

- Communicating with trainers and staff to provide seamless care of up to 35 show horses

The person responsible for this role should have prior experience working with horses and a strong desire to continue learning.

Ideal Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00pm - 7:30pm with ability to add weekends if wanted.

Compensation: Lessons, riding, stall, possible ability to work off showing during the season!

Great opportunity for a high-school student looking to work off ride time or a college student with afternoon flexibility who wants to work off board.

ISO Barn Manager Position – Concord, MA

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Barn Manager to join our busy show barn in Concord, Massachusetts.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining the highest standard of horse care and barn operations. Prior horse experience is required.

Responsibilities include:

* Overseeing daily barn operations and supervising staff
* Preparing and managing grain and feeding schedules
* Monitoring horse health, welfare, and basic medical care
* Maintaining accurate horse records and schedules using the BarnManager app
* Ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient barn environment

This is a no-stall position.

Riding opportunities are available for the right candidate, and on-site housing may be available.

One of our fearless leaders, the hardest working human we know, and as if that all wasn’t enough, Anastasia is about to be one of the greatest “Moms” in the world. We are already counting down the days until she comes back in the spring.

Anastasia - thank you for all you do every day for our team. You are such an integral part of the farm and we already miss you!

In the meantime, head trainer, Anna, and our new instructor, Kacie, will stay hard at work to keep our program - horses AND riders - progressing, strengthening, and getting ready for some horse showing in Wellington this winter 🤩

Bing - Pre-Children's/Modified Adult PACKER. Auto everything, easy, fun, and super safe. Perfect for anyone to flat and jump. Big enough for a tall rider but owned by a small adult and is just as easy and fun. Available for on-farm half lease.

Foxy - Old soul, young body 7yr old gelding. Hack winning movement and a sweet and simple jumping style. Has been teaching WTC adult lessons but would be just as fun for a motivated junior in our program. Available for lease on farm or sale to the perfect home.

Potato - Short Stirrup to Junior Hunter packer deluxe. His kid is a big skiier on the weekends so we'd love to share him with someone who likes a Friday through Sunday riding schedule. Lots of room to expand to other opportunities in the summer if it's a good fit.

Full Lease/Sale Options:

Koko - Child/Adult jumper deluxe. FUN mare for a gutsy kid or young adult to do a little of everything. She loves to hack around the property, show off some dressage moves, or jump around a course. Great off property and a big personality. Lease or sale low fives.

Victorious - Low-level jumper/eq type. Would also be fun in a dressage home! Would also make a great practice horse to stay home and jump anything. Uphill, kick ride with a super fun jump and great work ethic. Prefer lease, but sale option to the perfect home. Low fives.

Chatham - Definition of gentle giant. Took his last kid from 2'6'' to 3'3'' in a year. Would be perfect for a tall junior or adult to do the equitation medals or keep packing in the hunters. Very little prep, never needs to see the jumps. Lease only.

For anyone who had a connection to Silverstone or to the Pouladdej Family, you know the sweet face of this little guy.

AJ was an amazing step-up horse for Emilee when she moved on from her large pony, Prim (still a member of our Riding Development Program team!) and then went on to teach countless riders about what it felt like to ride a hunter extraordinaire. At 22 years old, we knew exactly where he should be to live out the remainder of his hopefully plentiful healthy years - back with his previous owner, Madelyn, who always kept tabs on him while we loved him.

Happiest of retirements, AJ. We will miss you, but we are thrilled to offer our horses the ability to retire while they are still healthy AND happy. Thank you for everything you’ve taught us ♥️

Silverstone Stables and Farms proudly presents two available mounts for sale or lease to great programs!

Shenendoah Gingersnap is a carded small pony. Incredibly useful and talented! Currently leased by a six year old who has learned to canter and jump on her, but she would love a short stirrup or children’s pony job. There’s also no reason she couldn’t do the small green pony division with the right kid. Cute mover, great jumper, super easy keeper of a pony. Coming off lease October 1 but can be available sooner for the right situation.

El Vitorioso D’Ecoussinnes is a super fun low level jumper or potentially equitation mount for a good riding junior or amateur. Recently packed an adult around the .65m jumpers at Vermont Summer Festival but also has great results in the .90/1m open jumper classics with a young professional. Happily jumped around the hunter ring warmups as well.

Both Ginger and Victorious can be available to try at the Fieldstone Summer Showcase starting next week or at our farm in Concord, MA. Both priced in low-mid fives for sale, or mid-low fives to lease for the right program. On farm lease discount to be made available as well if we can keep them with us!

So unbelievably proud of TWO of our riders this week at Fieldstone Show Park. Not only are these girls amazing riders, but they are also fantastic budding horsewomen who work hard in the barn to learn!

We pride ourselves on growing riders who not only love the sport and the competition, but also take the time to learn to care for and love these amazing horses we have as partners. Sophie and Anna are great examples of just that! Great job, girls!

A little late to post, but we were honored and thrilled to welcome Val Renihan as a clinician for the day with us. Her seemingly bottomless level of knowledge and talent for teaching was a joy to experience! Thank you to the staff and clients of Silverstone for joining, riding, observing, and helping make it such a successful day.
