Happy Reptile Awareness Day! 🐍🦎🐢

Today is a day dedicated to educating the public about reptile diversity, conservation, and the important role these scaly animals play in natural ecosystems.

Owners are reminded that unwanted captive pets should never be released into the wild, but instead surrendered to local rescue groups.

Here’s a cool fact- Giant tortoises like the Aldabra tortoise can easily live past 150 years old! 🐢

Introducing Lillian- our clinic cat and employee morale booster! 😻

Lillian spends her work days lounging in the sun, snuggling on the couch on lunch breaks, and accepting chin scratches + affection from the employees.

Clearly she is our hardest worker 🙃 💜

MEET THE TEAM: Sara 💜🏈🐾

Today we are introducing you to our small dog enthusiast, Sara! You may have seen her around the clinic admiring all the fluffy, curly, and pocket sized dogs out there. Sara received her Bachelors in Animal Science from URI. She will stop at nothing to advocate for your pets best interest while being both kind and compassionate. Outside of the clinic she spends quality time with her football loving family and her 3 dogs- Rizzo, Kenicky, and Frenchie.

The first day of October brings us National Black Dog Day! 🐕‍🦺🐾

Happy International Rabbit Day! 🐰🐇🥕

Today we celebrate both domestic and wild rabbits. Rabbits belong to a specific mammal group called lagomorphs. They are herbivores- their diet should be rich in fiber to keep their digestive systems healthy and their teeth in good condition. Did you know there are more than 30 species of rabbits around the world?!
