🌟🍼 — Meet Chirp 🍼🌟

Say hello to Chirp — a tiny newborn kitten found on the side of the road yesterday, during a day filled with on-and-off storms. 💔🌧️

Neonatal kittens are incredibly fragile. They can’t regulate their body temperature on their own, making situations like this especially dangerous. And Chirp is so small — weighing just 60 grams. For context, the average newborn kitten is around 90 grams. That 30-gram difference may not sound like much, but for a baby this tiny, it’s huge.

Thankfully, Chirp is now safe with one of our experienced bottle feeders, who will give her the very best chance at survival. 🍼🐾

But Chirp is not alone…
We already have 109 kittens under 8 weeks old and over 185 cats in our care. And it’s still early — this season is shaping up to be a whopper.

Every single kitty who comes through our doors receives $300+ in standard vetting, not including daily care, transportation, or additional medical needs. The costs add up quickly, and we rely on your support to keep saying “yes” when kittens like Chirp need us most. 💕

We are looking for volunteers for our dog food pantry!

With the nice weather coming, we'd ideally like to host at least 2 pantries a month, or even a pantry every single week. But we need YOUR help to be able to do this!

What we would need you to do👇
-Watch the pantry. Thats it. We have tried to leave food out at a location and use the honor system, but last time we did this, 2 people showed up and stole pretty much all of it.
-Pack up the pantry when it is done & take items to our storage unit.

The need is great for owners & their pets but we really need the communities help with this. We are looking for volunteers that could commit to once or twice a month from 9:30am-12pm.

What a great start to the year!

I am very saddened to learn of Sarah Fisher’s passing today.

Her work has had a meaningful influence on how I approach dogs and training — especially the importance of movement, choice, and training the dog in front of you. I appreciated how she challenged the training world to slow down, observe more, and listen differently.

I’m grateful for what she shared with our community and for the influence she had on dog training.

Her impact will continue through the dogs and people she helped, and through the many trainers she influenced along the way. My thoughts are with her family, her students, and everyone in the community who is grieving her loss.
