Just a Little Tip From Me to You 🐾

Over the past few years, I’ve seen more and more dogs coming in with owners concerned about constant scratching. Some pups have dry, flaky skin — others are oily — but the common theme is discomfort and frustration. Many of these dogs are on allergy meds like Apoquel, which can cost around $90/month. While some see slight improvements, the scratching often continues.

I’ve started recommending probiotics to several of my customers — and the results have been really encouraging. Probiotics are beneficial microorganisms that support your dog’s digestion, immune system, and overall well-being. And yes, they can absolutely help with skin health!

One dog in particular had suffered for years with horrible skin and thin hair. She came in today looking completely different — healthy thick coat, calm skin. The difference was amazing.

A trusted brand I like is Dog is Human, which runs about $42 for 60 pills. But hey, one customer even found a good probiotic at Marshall’s in the pet section, of all places! 😂

Just sharing my 2 cents in hopes it helps another little four-legged baby feel better. ❤️🐶

I have to say that I am very blessed. In the past few months, I have gained so many new customers that I need to stop taking new ones. Right now I have a 2 week waiting period to get in and I don’t want my existing customers having to wait that long. Thank you everyone for spreading the word and helping my business grow and for allowing me to be your dog groomer. :)

The Commerce Animal shelter posted this sweet girl the other day. I reached out and offered my services for her. Today she came in for a much needed bath. Her hair was extremely dirty and oily. After her bath, her coat came out so beautifully. Full and fluffy. She’s an absolute angel of a dog. So laid back and ready for a forever home.

***ALLERGY SEASON ****
Is your dog scratching like crazy? Bald spots on its hind end or feet? Could be fleas but more than likely it’s allergies.
RECOMMENDATION…. Lather your dog up with Dawn dishwashing liquid. Let it sit for one minute then rinse. Then wash your dog with Vet’s Best Allergy Itch Relief shampoo that you can order on Amazon. Let the shampoo sit for 3-5 minutes!!!! Then rinse thoroughly. Do this a few times a week as needed. Also you can give your dog Benadryl twice a day. Attached is a dosage chart I found online. Good luck and keep your pet happy!!

Fleas season is about to hit. You can sprinkle diatomaceous earth (crushed seashells) in your yard to kill fleas. I believe Fix n feed carries it too. Won’t harm your pet. I also saw a tiktok where a cute little granny said to mix baking soda and salt together and sprinkle in your yard every 4 days to help with fleas. If an elder says it, you know it’s true

I have had several no shows lately. Just a reminder… I do charge for missed appts. I absolutely hate doing it but it affects my income when I have no shows. I can easily fill that spot if I have enough notice that you can’t make it.

Also….IMPORTANT….
When you make an appointment you will receive a CONFIRMATION. The day before your appt you will receive an APPT REMINDER. At the bottom of either text there is a big blue button that says ADD TO CALENDAR….. click on it. Add it to your phone calendar and set a reminder for one hour before your appt. Make life easy on you and me both lol ❤️🐾
