A sighting was posted on Facebook Friday October, 29 of a small whitish/tan dog running on the Sunken Meadow Parkway on the Northbound side at Harned Road exit, running south along the grass. The trappers set up feeding stations and cameras, no sign of him.
The tracker confirmed that the scent was Dougal’s on Tuesday, November 2.
Please pray to bring our boy home safe to his loving family.
As always please take a photo if seen. Please call 516-380-2712 right away and try to keep him in sight. Do Not Chase.

****TEAM DOUGAL***
Another potential sighting on the Sagtikos Parkway 1 mile south of exit S3 in the left lane of traffic - going northbound walking along the shoulder between the divider and the cars.
We have a team of trappers and also a professional pet tracker working on the safe return of Dougal - we need your help with sightings - and photos if possible.

This dog was found in the Port Jeff area this afternoon. We were contacted and his picture sent to us thinking he could possibly be Dougal. Unfortunately it’s not our Dougal boy but someone has to be missing this guy. We know all too well how that feels. He is microchipped but the chip isn’t registered. If this is your dog or you know who he belongs to, please contact the Yaphank Shelter. He is safe and being held there until a rightful owner is located. Thank you Long Island. 🐾🐾

This picture was taken on June 13th. The day that Dougal came into rescue. This is what he looked like before he was groomed. It’s very likely what he looks like now since he’s been missing for 40 days. He’s likely dirty.
Anyone in Commack (specifically the areas that we have had confirmed sightings)who has home security cameras or the Ring doorbell camera, please look to see if there’s any footage of him. There was a confirmed sighting of Dougal last night on Bread and Cheese Hollow Road in the Northport area.
I greatly appreciate the help of the community and all involved in finding this boy.

*We don’t anticipate that Dougal will look exactly like his photos at this point. He’s been missing for 30 days now. His hair is extremely curly. So he’s probably starting to mat and we suspect he’s most likely dirty.
