Juneteenth, officially Juneteenth National Independence Day, is a federal holiday in the United States, celebrated annually to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States.

Although the shelter is closed to the public today, we are still available to assist with lost and found pets and emergent situations.

Please contact Central Dispatch at 812-379-1689 and ask for the on-call Animal Care Officer to be paged.

Columbus Animal Care Services will be open Saturday June 20 from 10:00am - 12:00pm.

Two wonderful volunteers from Cummins worked incredibly hard in the Forever Home Garden recently. They absolutely crushed it, card boarding and mulching the paths on the back side.

We are excited to announce that the first Columbus Animal Care Services ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐š๐ฐ๐ฌ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐จ ๐„๐ฏ๐ž๐ง๐ญ was a huge success! Over $6300 was raised for the Adoption Medical Fund.
