South Side Family Farms is joining The Big Table for an evening of conversation, connection, and community. 🥕🤝

On Tuesday, September 29th, we’ll gather at the farm for an evening of dialogue centered around Building Community Food Sovereignty: One Conversation at a Time.

🍅 Together, we’ll explore our own food stories and they have generationally shaped our identity, belonging, memory, and access. Additionally, we will also dive deeper into food sovereignty and how food sovereignty can help us reclaim and safeguard those connections.

South Side Family Farms is featuring 6 Nutrition Education cooking classes in the South Side Community Action Network community featuring Food Leads . Our first class will be August 26th at 1269 Wilson ave farm/garden space.
Seniors, families singles and food conscious neighbors. We will feature a demonstration of products from our Holistic Wellness CSA featuring recipes from Ms Christina Allen.

We are excited to have advocacy coming to the White house from a woman of color and such a strong voice.
