Help! Do you know me?
I was left behind in a hotel room in Chattanooga several days ago. I am a native eastern box turtle whose pattern of shell wear suggests that I’ve been living outside most— or all— of my life. My p**p was full of snail shells, so I have probably been eating natural foods outside.
Did someone on vacation pick me up, take me to their room, and then forget me?
I need to go back home. I have a very small home territory and I’m at a high risk of death if I’m moved away from it. I may try to walk home and get hit by lots of cars on the way.
If you took me to your hotel room, please reach out to For Fox Sake. You won’t be in trouble since you didn’t hurt me or keep me! They just want me to get home. Please tell them where I was found. Thank you!
