Every dog must learn to settle. It is actually tiring for active dogs. Parker is trying to be cool here, but his eyes tell truth. He is exhausted lol. Big horse show weekend learning to settle. Some running, some training, lots of “settle” time. He is a tired little man! He did really well this past weekend. Proud of him!

We all have a breed we love. My first love is the Bluetick Coonhound. Hounds are goofy, funny, beautiful and quite expressive lol. Moonshine is a champion pouter. Here he has done some interesting work with his two usually stacked beds and items he knocked off our bed. He was kicked off our bad lol. Then here is Parker. He is so fun to work with and expressive. Here he is ready to work and also trying to work me lol. What do your dogs do to “work” (attempt to train you) you?

These two are the cutest! Their young owners are wonderful and always teaching their dogs useful and also fun skills. I just love it!

More reminiscing. 🥰 When Jeb and I miraculously made podium at the Dec 2006 AKC National Obedience Invitational, fellow trainers and show friends I’d met traveling around were wonderfully supportive. I was by myself and it was fun that Jeb had a fan club there while in Long Beach, CA. I got quite a few cards in
the mail. I have more cards somewhere. They meant so much to me. Janice Gunn, the late Bobbi Anderson and others sent cards. Laurie,
Louise, Janice, Jeanne, etc were all always very kind and helpful to me at shows. They and many others played roles in our success. Mostly, I had an open mind and trained about an hour a day 5-6 days a week. Yes, I did! But it was fun the way we did it. SAR taught me my hound could have endurance to work and learn to deal with stress. I learned how to maintain a balance of isn’t this fun and you have to do this in this way.

Handsome Ranger! From discarded and HW positive to adopted, loved and rocking obedience class! He started out very reactive (although actually friendly) and is now doing amazing!

Fun OTCH Jeb memories! I have so many articles and other media. He was so fun! At that time in my life, I was able to spend many hours weekly training him. I prayed he would send me a new blue boy and I finally have him! Parker will not do all Jeb did, no time and energy for all that, but he will do plenty. Miss you doodlebug Jebbie doodle! 💕🥰. Thank you for my Parker Pooh!
