As happy as we always are to see our patients, sometimes, they're not so happy to see us. Medications like trazodone and gabapentin are super useful in ensuring our pets stay calm and comfortable, allowing for a smooth-running appointment. Let's keep everyone safe and our pets comfortable by making sure our feisty, furry friends get their *prescribed* pre-appointment medications.

Rabies has no cure, but the good news is it’s 100% preventable. This deadly virus is often spread through an infected animal's bite, so keeping your pet’s rabies vaccinations up to date is essential.

If you’re unsure of when your pet is due for their rabies vaccination, call us at +1 609-298-4600 and we'll be happy to help you.

Happy National Cat Month to all the kitties around! In honor of Cat Month, let's bring awareness to some general cat facts:

1) Only about 40%-58% of cats are seen at the vet annually compared to 74%-82% of dogs

2) Cats instinctually may hide discomfort or pain that they're experiencing, so preventative care is key in making sure they stay healthy and happy

3) Seeing the vet every 6 months - 1 year is important in making sure cats are up to date and healthy

Once again, Happy Cat Month to all of the kitties and cat parents around the world. Celebrate by buying them a special treat, trying out a new toy for them, and by scheduling their next annual exam.

Preventative care causes big smiles all around! Vaccines, flea/tick preventatives, and annual exams can help catch medical issues early. In some cases, they can even prevent these issues entirely. It's always better to nip problems in the bud, as opposed to doing damage control later on. So, keep everyone happy and let the smiles go 'round by scheduling your pet's preventative care visit today!

Long, fluffy fur is great for the cold seasons rolling in! Its also (unfortunately) a great environment for fleas and ticks to make a home. Be sure to continue preventatives year-round, because even as the heat eases up, the bugs do not.
