Field day Friday:
This week's field day is a unique one. This is a tinctorius that was photographed in the wild. What type do you think it is?... You'd probably think it is a Citronella, remarkably a no-spot Citronella in the wild. But the truth is this animal was photographed well within French Guiana whereas Citronella are from Suriname. Without revealing too much locality information, this specimen is 50-60 miles away from the Suriname border so far-far away from Suriname. It seems like the Citronella & Nikita phenotypes have a rather large range along the southern border region where the two countries meet.
