Another successful seminar!

Big thank you to Glenn Blackwell for hiring us. As always great to work with Iron Oak Dog Co. and Zwinger Wildblumen & Eiseneiche Kleine Munsterlander You guys always make these events so insightful and I learn just as much from you as the audience does.

I know Nate and I truly hope everyone got a lot of information out the weekend. Thank you all for your kind words and feedback at the end of the event.

More from our Canada Seminar.

Explaining the power and application of a dual reinforcement system. This dog was very responsive to +R and very quickly I was able to begin naming the behavior and use -R. Now I did that for seminar instruction purposes, in a normal B&T I would probably have slowed down a bit and not named the behavior yet.

Pay attention to the tone box, cue, and marker. Thats the important sequence to know.

The cons of traveling for seminars is I usually cannot bring my demo dogs. It's hard to describe a finished product and easier to show the power of this system with a dog that was raised in it.

The pros of traveling for seminars is that I do not bring my demo dogs so you can see me work this process in real time, with real criteria, and work though any potential hang ups.

Contact us for seminar opportunities or board and train options (pets or bird dogs)

Another big thanks to Ben | NCSD

Georgia is a quick study. We're already moving on to collar conditioning to place. Notice how silent we are in the beginning. We'll name the behavior soon but for now we just let our shaping pay off and focus on communicating thru tactile pressure and markers.

Iron Oak Dog Co. & Liberty Canine LLC seminar!

August 22 & 23 2026
Erwin, NC

We’re teaming up again to teach dogs and handlers an integrative approach to gun dog training that combines rewards and pressure in smart ways that maximize the effectiveness of both. We’re drilling down into the topics that everyone always asks about:

Steadiness - for an honest dog that holds birds till you get there, and can be shot over safely

Backing & Honoring - so your friends, new and old, invite you back to bird camp

Retrieving - because WTF is the point of a dog if they don’t recover game

Obedience - so all your dog’s energy is directed into productive hunting

Building chains 🔗🔗🔗

I want to Tazzie to automatically down on place without a second command.

Easy day, she already knows place and down with a dual reinforcement system. Now I maintain my -R from the place cue thru the down cue and mark/pay at target behavior. After a few reps I just say the place cue and the rest of the sequence stays the same. Easy way to chain some stuff together. Hope this helps.
