Happy Birthday to US, but a giant thank you to YOU!

Today marks 17 years since L&R first opened our doors at the original Nifong store! To say we are blessed beyond measure is an understatement - because of your support and all of the love you've shown us, we've been able to grow and help so many animals in our community (and beyond!) thrive.

What truly started as a dream and the desire to do what was best for our own pets (looking at you, Lizzi & Rocco) has turned into something that is so wildly bigger than we ever could have imagined. If you'd told us 17 years ago that we'd have multiple locations, a cat cafe, a handful of groomers, dog trainers, a mobile treat truck (plus 5 dogs, a cat, 5 store cats, and a couple of kids)...I would have looked at you like you were INSANE. And the list could go on!

Thank you for everything - whether you've just discovered us or if you've been with us since we looked like actual children. We are so lucky that you let us keep doing what we love every single day. We love you so much, and can't wait for the next 17 years!

Here are a few throwbacks to baby-faced Kyle and Jessica (and Lizzi and the old Second Chance mascots), the original Nifong store, the North store when we first bought it from Award Pet Supply, and the two little icons who inspired it all - Lizzi & Rocco!
