I’ve had people asking me what our FIRST healing partner NEEDS and how he is doing!! He’s doing great, 🥰 settled in and thriving on his feeding regime, but we still have a long way to go. Galen was well enough to handle deworming, so that should help! Next up is dental work 🦷🦷 but a practical way is to SPONSER ONE ☝🏻bag of feed! He’s going through 100 lbs every 5 days. Just 12 sponsers covers his ENTIRE feeding for a month - people have asked and here’s the need 🙏🏻

Just to raise awareness ….. living now in Tennessee we’re hearing about the annual celebration of the Tennessee Walking Horse going on now in Shelbyville.
As a professional in the horse industry and having owned a TWH I just want to educate people who may not be aware.
The first two photos show what the “celebration” of this breed looks like 😔 from nose to tail - this is ABUSE! What made me sad is the show opened with the flag 🇺🇸 and prayer 🙏🏻 - thanking the Creator, yet the beautiful horse standing there with stacks on his hooves, chains around his pasterns, tail bone doubled up….NOT the animal being shown as our Creator would. 😠
Even if the some of the now outlawed practices are less (or in some cases just hidden better) why can’t we just celebrate the breed for all of its NATURAL BEAUTY??!
I ask that you educate yourself on the pictures you promote, I hope by ignorance, but let’s show the TWH world - especially the “Big Lick” (‼️) that we want to celebrate the horse not human ego!!

UPDATE TIME!
Quiet on social media does not mean a quiet life!!! 😅
It’s been a full couple of months here!
Settling into a new property takes some time. We’ve been walking the land getting to know it…
Giving it space to rest and grow from its previous season. 🌱
I’ve been working on finalizing my trauma coaching certification
and 📝 journaling ALLLLL the ideas!! 💡

📖 Part 1 of the story :
SHAME LIES.

The story of our little ranch has roots tangled up in shame! 🫣 Sure there’s dreams mixed in and hope, but also a LOT of loss and disappointment!

I had the beautiful horse farm and lost it all in a divorce. I rebuilt it all and lost the next one through cancer 💔
The years that followed were financial struggle, trying to make ends meet, living in places I was embarrassed to invite people to. People who heard me talk about the dream of a horse farm for equine healing and EVERYONE saw the gap. Shame.

Continuing to build our entrepreneurial journey - holding on to faith in God’s promises for us and feeling shame that we hadn’t “arrived at success”

….. but shame lies; tells you “you’re not enough, you’re less than, maybe you should accept less.”
Shame wants to keep things hidden, covered where it can continue to whisper its deception to us in the darkness.

We fear that shame exposed can hurt us but what if instead what’s REVEALED CAN BE HEALED ❤️‍🩹
There’s a verse that says “what is done in the darkness will come into the light” - we tend to interpret this as a shameful exposure - instead could it be a tender invitation of what holds us in darkness will come into the light of love for the hope of freedom?

This was the start of our journey- a vulnerable meeting with Rebecca Mariani and tearfully opening up my hearts desire and my feelings of failure that I didn’t think we could afford our own home -much less property!!

⛓️‍💥Shames hold was broken that day and we found partners to journey with us!
