South Carolina Association of Veterinarians The South Carolina Association of Veterinarians (SCAV), established in 1911, is a non-profit association representing veterinarians.

SCAV provides continuing education and other professional development opportunities to advance the animal – human bond. One of the main objectives of the South Carolina Association of Veterinarians is to provide professional education to our members. To this end, SCAV schedules a variety of sessions at its small and large animal academies, the Southeast Veterinary Conference, and its annual confer

ence. As a membership benefit, SCAV members receive complimentary registration to the annual small animal academy and great discounts to the other conferences. In addition, each event provides opportunities for industry partners to meet with veterinarians and share information about their products and services. The Southeast Veterinary Conference and the SCAV Annual Conference also provide attendees with several down-time programs. All events offer continuing education credit for veterinarians and veterinary technicians.

Featured SEVC Speaker: Dr. Sheila Fitzpatrick, DVM, BS, CEPA, CVA, is the founder of VP Veterinary Advisors and VP Veterinary Recruiters and is a nationally recognized speaker on veterinary practice management, valuation, recruitment, and ownership transitions. With more than 30 years of experience in the veterinary profession, she brings a rare perspective shaped by independent practice ownership, corporate veterinary medicine, and professional advisory services.

Her professional background also includes commercial real estate development and work with a corporate veterinary aggregator, where she supported acquisitions, guided selling veterinarians through the transaction process, and helped develop veterinary externship programs. She holds an active real estate license and is a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) and Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA)credentialed by NACVA.

Our Ultrasound Wet Labs are so popular we had to open a new session! If you wanted to attend the Basic Ultrasound at SEVC but it was full, we now have an open class with 7 seats available on Tuesday June 30th from 1 PM - 5 PM. And we opened 2 seats in the original course on Wednesday July 1st 8 AM - 12 PM.
