April is Heartworm Prevention Month! The warmer weather means more mosquitos, which increases the chances of your pet contracting heartworm disease - it only takes one bite from a carrier mosquito. At best, heartworms are expensive and time-consuming to treat; at worst, they are fatal. Regular testing and use of effective preventions is key to keeping your pet healthy!

A wonderful client found and rescued an injured kitten who is now being fostered by another wonderful client - so we're looking for a third wonderful client (or person) to adopt her! Her injured paw is all healed up, and even though she walks with it turned under, she happily plays and jumps with no regard to it! She is around 7 months old, healthy and happy, so please reach out if you'd be interested in meeting this sweet girl!

Since we need to make a decision now in order to rearrange the schedule, we're going to follow the weather warning and close for Monday morning. Our current plan is to be open on Monday afternoon from 2 pm - 6 pm. We are always closed on weekends. Stay warm and be safe!

Jack says he hopes that everyone has a comfy, cozy Christmas, but that if you need the vet, food or refills, you should know that we’re open until noon on Christmas Eve and then will be closed until Monday, Dec 29th. He also says please don’t tell Santa that he refuses to share his bed or pink blankie.

We will be closed Thursday and Friday of next week for Thanksgiving (plus our usual weekend). Please plan ahead for refills and requests, keeping in mind that our doctors must review and approve most of these and that is done as time permits between surgeries and appointments. In other words, please be patient and kind!

It's our 12 year anniversary today! As a family-owned small business, we've been fortunate to share in the lives of so many wonderful families, from our associates and staff's to our clients' families. Thank you to each one of them! Thanks to a microchip with up to date information, we were able to get a sweet older cat back to his family today after he had been missing for TWO months! We always highly encourage people to microchip their pets, even those who generally stay indoors, because you never know when they might dart out, slip a leash, make it out when a repair person is there, or the like.
