*Bursts in Mariah Carey defrosting for Christmas style* It's timeeeeeeeeee!! 🙌🐾🐶🐱

NEAC is taking donations once again this holiday season for Columbia Animal Services and 🐾

Bring in a donation for animals in need and receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a free exam ($65 value)! And we will have prize baskets as well again this year!

The City of Columbia Animal Services & The Street Dog Coalition would like for Christmas,

For BOTH cats 🐈‍⬛ & dogs 🐕!
Food- Wet & dry
Toys
Bedding - Throw blankets, towels, sheets
Treats
Peanut Butter
Pumpkin puree
Leashes, collars, harnesses

They also need supplies to keep the pet’s home clean!
Liquid laundry detergent
Bleach
Dawn Dish soap
Water hoses
Water hose spray nozzles
Paper Towels
Hand soap
Sanitizer
Disinfecting wipes
Floor cleaner (Nothing pine based like Pinesol)
Windex

As the cooler weather comes in, there are so many fun activities that you can do with your pet before fall is over!
🍂 Take them for a hike!
🍂 Visit a pumpkin patch or go apple picking! Many places that offer these are also dog friendly! Just make sure they are before going and don't let your dog eat apples without cutting slices for them first as the apple core, stem, leaves and seeds are not safe for ingesting!
🍂 Make fall flavored dog treats! There are many recipes for apple and pumpkin treats! 🍎🎃
🍂 Dress up for Halloween activities & festivals

Spooky Season Month is here! 🎃🐾👻
Ghoulish activities can be fun for all, especially throughout October but certain things can be unsafe for your pets!

Some ways to keep them safe include:
🦇 Making sure their pet costume fits well and doesn't effect their sight, movement or breathing!
🦇 Keep the Halloween makeup out of their reach!
🦇 Glow sticks/jewelry should also be kept from pets
🦇 Be aware of decorations- If your pet chews on them or electrical cords they can be at risk of GI blockages or electric injury!
🦇 We all love Halloween treats and snacks like corn cobs, but many are dangerous for pets and should not be shared!
🦇 Campfires, firewood, lanterns and fire logs should be admired from a distance for your pets.

If your pet is exposed to anything that could give both you and your pet a scare, be sure to call our office!
