Start slow and build distance gradually.

Bring water and take breaks.

Avoid hot pavement and high temperatures.

Watch for excessive panting, weakness, or unusual behavior.

Keep your dog leashed and let them set the pace!

🦢 Do you all remember Fish?

Fish is the beautiful swan Dr. Chenoa cared for in August before he made his way to Jenny's Wildlife Rehabilitation for continued care.

Now, Fish is looking for his next chapter — a safe, appropriate place where he can spread his wings, enjoy life, and be the swan he was meant to be. 🦢

We’re sharing Jenny’s post in hopes that it reaches the right people and the right home for this special guy.

Tonight, R Veterinary Columbia was down at the Lake of the Ozarks with our friends at K9s On The Front Line for an awesome night to honor our Veterans and First Responders.

K9s On The Front Line, a non-profit organization that provides service dogs at no cost to the Veteran or First Responder, hosted an event at “The Encore” to not only honor a Veteran and a First Responder with a service dog, but also to bring awareness to the struggles these men and women face after their service. The struggle is real for many of these men and women and K9sOTFL is there to support them as the attempt to transition back to a normal life.

The event featured America’s Got Talent’s renowned ventriloquist “Terry Fator” (Season Two) who put on an amazing show, in addition to a Live and Silent Auction to raise funds to help support K9sOTFL’s mission of providing Service Dogs in conjunction with Physical and Emotional Health Services to our Veterans, Active Military Personnel and the First Responders of our Communities.

Huge shout out to K9s On The Front Line, Terry Fator and the Terry Fator Foundation, and The Encore for an awesome evening. Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do to support and fight for the men and woman who have put their lives on the line everyday.

A special thanks to R Veterinary Columbia’s Veterinarian Dr. Chenoa and Veterinary Assistant Emmasue… along with their Families , for representing our Company’s ongoing commitment to our Veterans and First Responders, the four- legged “Battle Buddies” that help them daily and the organizations that fight to support them.

R Veterinary Columbia will be:

📅 Closed the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month
📅 Closed every Saturday

We’ll still be here throughout the rest of the week to care for your pets and answer your questions.
