Here is Calliope’s Enclosure it is 6’L x 3’T x 2’D. This enclosure started out as a Bunk Bed for my son. This enclosure is where I really noticed it helping my PTSD. I found myself staring at the enclosure and the wood I have then letting it speak to me. I know that sounds corny but it allowed me to completely let my guard and let my imagination go wild without it going to the dark places.

This was my first DIY build. I started with a Table and a Shelving unit. I learned so many lessons on this enclosure. The biggest lesson was I could do it. Once I created this one my confidence and imagination took off. However I did cannibalize it for other projects.

My name is Justin, I was born and raised in Mishawaka IN. I spent a career as a Paratrooper in the Army and retired in Columbia SC. I love my animals, sometimes I believe they get me more than humans. My house holds a Black Lab/Pit mix, 6 German Shepherd (Mom, Dad, and 4 daughters from two litters), 4 Red Tail Boas, 2 Leopard Geckos, and a Bearded Dragon. The last three are my sons. Once I retired I realized building enclosures brings me peace and I’m kind of good at it. I build durable Enclosures and Stands. I probably build them a little to stout however I’d rather be strong than break lol.
