We all know I'm a Bengal lover, but here's a funny story that happened to me last night. It might be something to consider. Mind you, I didn't have an extra room, because one bedroom is occupied by my son and the other is currently just a storage area. (I need an urgent yard sale.)

So my friend Amy came to stay for a couple of days. My couch is comfortable... or so I thought.

Middle of the night, my son comes in to use my bathroom and wakes me up. He goes, "Mom, the bathroom door is locked and I think Amy's sleeping in there."

Yeah, no. No way. So I go check, and y'all... 👇

She made a whole bed in there. Between the toilet and the tub. With a pillow and everything.

Moral of the story: if you have two Bengal cats, your guests can't sleep on the couch. The cats clearly had opinions, and Amy took the hint.

Obviously I moved her into my bedroom. I'm not a monster.

Good morning! Another very not so exciting picture, but this is how my mornings usually are. Chloe is on the left, recovering from her heat cycle. Mr Capone visited and is now back home, which is a really good sign (there might be more kittens in the future). Sophie is hiding deep under the blanket right by my clothes, so you can't really see her. lol She's content and not moving. Not a great picture, I know, but it's an update for y'all. 🙂

I know I haven't been posting much, but I've been dealing with a lot of personal stuff lately, and I wanted to give you all an update. Mr. Capone's last visit didn't work out, so he's back for round two, courting Miss Sophie and Miss Chloe in the hopes of giving us some Bengal kittens! Miss Chloe is extremely excited to see him, so fingers crossed that romance is in the air and we have good news in the near future.

Can I just give a shout-out to Chewy? I have two extremely picky Bengal cats♥️. I do feed them raw, but I also add some high-quality wet food to their diet. The reason I’m doing this is that I want a potential new owner to choose what to feed their kitten without too many tummy issues. Anyway, finding the right wet food has been a lot of trial and error, and Chewy always credits me without even asking for it. This is excellent customer service!

Oh BTW, as you know Mr. Capone was here for a visit but it looks like that visit ended up being a blooper. Better luck next time

Here’s a little update: Sophie got through her heat cycle without making a big scene about it (I, on the other hand, did not — I ran on significantly less sleep than usual). Everything’s back to normal now. In the meantime, we did the usual stool sample test to confirm that Sophie and Chloe are both certified Healthy Cats™, so really, nothing exciting on that front.

Next heat cycle, Mr. Capone will most likely be making a return visit — lucky guy. Also, we’re in the process of adopting a new male Bengal kitten, but by the time I bring him home in August, he’ll only be eight weeks old — so no, he will not be stepping in as Sophie’s instant suitor. He’ll be too busy learning how to use a litter box to worry about romance.
