What a fun event for group class today. The dogs and some of the humans dressed up!! What great costumes! They practiced their obedience , were introduced and worked through some new things they were apprehensive of and then headed across the street to Shady Acres to pick flowers and get pics !!

My friend and also a mentor in my life wrote this book, Angela Pierce.. I met Angela when I put Rudy into training and she was my trainer . She encouraged me to become a trainer myself and I haven’t looked back since . To this day she continues to be an inspiration to me . I am so excited for her and can’t wait to read her book. Angela always told me that every dog teaches us something and it’s so true ! If you’re a dog lover I encourage you to get the book, I have no doubt it will be a fantastic read ! ❤️🐾

Going to throw this out there again… I can set up a second group class ( the first is full) on the following dates . This is a great opportunity to get you and your dogs “ tuned up” before the holidays. The classes will focus on obedience with distractions and we will also be doing some public outings. Classes are 10/3, 10/17, 11/7, 11/21 at NOON. You must commit to all 4 classes. Please let me know if you are interested . This is for past and present clients that have done 1:1 lessons with me.

Such a fun lesson with 5 mo old Remi at home depot today. This was her last lesson of her puppy package and here she is walking calmly on a leash and practicing her sit and down stays under distractions . She has a little timid streak so we’ve also been working her through things that make her uncomfortable.

Wow! Where has summer gone . I haven’t posted in awhile nor did I get alot of pictures , I think because things have been so busy . Moving into fall a group class will be starting for some of the puppies that went through my puppy package this summer . I can add a second class on if enough Interest . These classes will be held on Saturdays 10/3, 10/17, 11/7, 11/21 . I am able to do a 9:00 or a 12:00 class. These group classes will help take your dogs obedience to another level by working under and through distractions . We will be doing at least one class in a public setting. Let’s talk about Davey… his owners were beyond frustrated and at their wits end . Davey had had some prior training but it just wasn’t working . They even debated on if he was aggressive because he would lunge at them, try to bite , jump on them and guests you name it Davey did it . What did I see? An overstimulated, frustrated and misunderstood dog . I loved him from the get go and know he had some amazing potential . Fast forward , 4 lessons later I sware he’s a different dog . What did we do? We went backwards to go forwards. We taught Davey how to have a shut off button, worked his natural instinct to herd , created rules and boundaries, and held him accountable for commands. He is a much calmer, relaxed dog and now working his way to off leash. I have loved every minute of working with him and his owners.

Huge win today with this sweet 5-month-old English Lab! In an excited moment with distractions around her, she responded to the verbal cue “Place” with no leash guidance, went right to her spot, and stayed there until released.

That kind of success doesn’t happen by accident—it comes from owners who have been putting in the work, staying consistent with homework, and taking each lesson seriously. So proud of this team and excited to see how far this pup will go!
