Building a deeper relationship between horse & human.

I absolutely love this c**t. I’ve worked and been impressed with all kinds of horses, but when the babies are this good minded, it makes starting them all the more rewarding.

Moose has already been hauled to events, been entered in time onlies in front of crowds, ridden in crowded warmup rings, pushed cows, been ponied off of, and exposed to all kinds of different environments.

I feel honored to have so many great young ones coming up. Every c**t I start makes me fall in love with the process all over again.

I never wanted to be just one thing in the horse world.

I never wanted to know only one method, follow only one trainer, or believe there was only one right answer.

I wanted to learn it all.

The more horses I work with, the more I realize there is no finish line. There is always another perspective, another lesson, another piece of the puzzle waiting to be discovered.

I’ve spent thousands of hours studying horses.

Training.
Psychology.
Philosophy.
Bloodlines.
Anatomy.
Biomechanics.
Nutrition.
Health.

I’ve learned from countless trainers, and I continue to seek out more knowledge every chance I get.

Because every horse is an individual.

Every horse teaches something different.

The longer I do this, the more I understand how deeply physical health affects mental state, confidence, performance, and learning. And how our mental state can just as powerfully affect our physical health, our bodies, and our ability to learn and retain information.

I don’t compete much.

I study.

I question.

I observe.

I stay open-minded.

Not because I’ve figured it out—but because I never will.

And honestly, that’s what I love most about horses.

There will always be more to learn.

Good horses and good riders don’t happen overnight.

They’re built through dedication, sacrifice, time, and the willingness to keep learning, even when it’s hard. Feel isn’t something people are simply born with. It comes from hours of trial and error, consistency, and showing up day after day until things finally start to click.

Great partnerships aren’t created from a couple good rides on a talented horse. They’re built ride by ride through intentional leadership, consistency, patience, and the way you show up mentally and physically for your horse.

Because your horse feels all of it.

The greatest moments come from the hardest work nobody sees: A smooth 16-second run didn’t happen by accident. A quiet-minded 3-year-old c**t didn’t “just come that way.” Those results were built in the early mornings, the long hauls, the slow circles, the shoulder control, the desensitizing, the sore muscles, the frustrating days, and the repetition that rarely feels exciting while you’re living it.

And just as much of the work is mental.

Learning patience with yourself while asking patience from your horse. Staying steady when progress feels slow. Choosing consistency over emotion. Working through fear, frustration, comparison, anxiety, and self-doubt without letting them decide the outcome.

Good horsemanship, physical discipline, and mental resilience all grow the same way: quietly, slowly, and long before anyone else sees the result.

The finished product may look effortless, but that’s only the tip of the iceberg.

Greatness belongs to the people willing to work harder, go slower, stay longer, and keep showing up long after nobody else is watching.

Everyone starts somewhere. How far you go is directly determined by how willing you are to keep learning.

I’ve found that the most growth happens when I step into spaces where I know the least. Not because I’m out of my depth, but because I’m open.

Confidence has its place.
But curiosity is what softens the mind, steadies the emotions, and keeps you moving forward.

When you stop needing to have it all figured out,
you give yourself room to grow. And there’s no limit to that kind of growth.

I’ve been waiting for this one. 🫶🏽

GSR Rein N Bullets x Pocos Ladybar Chick

A grulla c**t, born late Monday evening to my mare Red. The mare I started as an untouched two-year-old when I was still in high school, the one who has carried me through so many seasons of life. To now have this c**t on the ground, healthy and strong, means more than I can put into words. Out of an incredibly athletic, accomplished stud and the most willing, steady-minded mare I could have ever asked for, I couldn’t be happier with this baby. I can’t wait to see who he becomes.

There’s just something about spring that feels like a fresh start. Any day now we should have a new foal on the ground, and I can’t wait to meet this little one. It’s been making me think back to the fillies from last year and how quickly a year can change them. 🫶🏽

Spring always flips a switch for me too. It’s when things start coming together—legging up my main mount, getting the young ones going, and marking the calendar for clinics and events. The small, consistent work starts to add up fast this time of year.

If you’ve been feeling the pull to get more intentional with your horses, this is the time. Show up, keep it simple, and stay consistent. It all builds from here, and I’m really excited for what’s ahead. 🤍

What one person learns, they’ll carry. But what a coach gives multiplies.

Swipe through these slides and you’ll see a couple of clips of me riding my three year old c**t ba****ck in a halter. The last clip you’ll see is a 15 year old girl that I’ve been coaching, riding along on her two year old filly, also ba****ck in a halter. A filly that was mostly untouched and super skittish just 60 days ago.

I’ve learned a lot from the countless c**ts I’ve started. I’ve learned patience, how to read cues and energies, and perhaps more importantly how to read and adjust myself. Coaching is the most incredible joy because I get to take everything that I’ve learned and share it with others. To offer the support I wish I’d had, and help them flourish.

If you’re looking for guidance in your horsemanship, I’d love to work with you!

I care so deeply about the Double Heart method of horsemanship because the most meaningful growth doesn’t happen when only the horse changes or only the rider improves. Real transformation happens when both are growing together. It’s not just about cues, buttons, or technique. It’s about connection. Because without clear communication, partnership can only go so far.

So much of my method is centered on the energy and mental health of both horse & rider, because I’ve seen how powerful it is to have a partnership where both are changed for the better.
