I took over this business because I love caring for horses. Especially the old ones, the quirky ones, the ones that need extra care or a bit extra time to get to know what makes them happy. Maybe if I had gone into this for the money it would have worked out better lol but that's just not me. The quirks that may annoy others make me fall in love with them even more. The more personality (and in some cases multiple personalities :)) just make my job more interesting and enjoyable.
I have had the pleasure of working with such a great group of horses and amazing clients and although this journey hasn't been easy, I have no regrets because of every one of you guys.
Regardless of where I end up, I am always one text away. For any question, any concern, anything at all. Just because this situation was forced on me doesn't mean I stop caring the second I leave. Plus I haven't had a day off in almost 2 years and I'm about to have at least 2 weeks off so I'll be going out of my mind. Please bother me lol. I will always help.
I have also spent my entire life in the horse world in this area. I either know everyone or know someone who knows them. So if anyone needs a change for any reason, feel free to ask me for any advice/feedback/support. Just think of me as your horses' extended warranty.

Sometimes horses come into our lives and we immediately know they will break our heart one day, simply because they steal it the very moment we meet them. That was Missy.
I feel so incredibly blessed to have known her and to have spent the time with her that I did. But it wasn't enough. It never is. She had a wonderful 32 years on this earth, completely surrounded by love thanks to her amazing owner, Kelly.Rest easy, our sweet, strong girl. You took a piece of my heart with you when you left. I love you so much. 💔

Just wanted to let all my boarders know I'll be spending the next couple of days hosing all the horses and making sure they drink plenty of water! The barn has tons of fans and everyone is either on night turnout or going out for a few hours early am.
We have a few golden oldies who will receive plenty of attention to make sure they stay comfortable through the heat wave so don't worry!!

There are moments when I question why I do this.
The long days without a break. Seven days a week. Never taking a vacation, a day off, or even an afternoon to myself. Sometimes it feels like no matter how much I give, it isn't enough.

Then I remember... it's not the horses that make this hard. It's the people.

The horses remind me every single day why I chose this life. Their little quirks, their unique personalities, their happiness, and the quiet moments we share are all the answer I need.

Whenever I ask myself why I do this, I just need to look at them.

And there's my answer. ❤️
